But now your kingdom will not endure; the Lord has sought out a man after his own heart and appointed him ruler of his people, because you have not kept the Lord’s command.”

上帝廢之、舉大闢為王、嘉之曰、我遇耶西子大闢得我心、遵我旨者也、

撒母耳曰。爾之同儔、較爾尤善、爾為以色列王、自今以後耶和華將絕爾國祚、以畀同儔。

昔爾顯厥異象、諭爾愛僕、曰、維彼傑士、余所眷佑、在兆民間、余遴選之、登庸之兮、臣僕大闢、既為我得、沐以聖膏兮、余展能力、使之鞏固兮。維彼仇敵、毋許迫索之兮、維彼惡黨、毋許困苦之兮、有敵之者、使之敗北、有憾之者、降以災害兮、必施恩我僕、崢嶸厥角、以踐前言兮。我將使之統轄四海、掌理江河兮、彼將呼余謂父、謂上帝、謂救主兮、我必立之為冢子、高於天下列王兮、永施仁慈、與彼立約兮、克昌厥後、至於恆久、國祚永綏、與天同休兮、如其子孫、違我律例、不從法度、棄我禮儀、不守誡命、則必責其罪、置其愆兮、然我不屯其膏、以踐前言兮、不棄我約、不易我言兮、余也至聖、指己而誓、必不欺大闢兮、必永存厥後、綿長厥祚、如日月之升恆、麗於穹蒼、永為確證兮。

以色列族之上帝耶和華又曰、我昔有言、爾祖之家、將恆供我役、今我不然、凡尊敬我者、我尊顯之、藐視我者、亦必藐視之。

爾當復入、告我之民長希西家、爾祖大闢之上帝耶和華云、我見爾祈禱出涕、將愈爾疾、越三日可詣我殿。

遂召之至、其容赤色、雙眸炯然、丰采甚都。耶和華曰、斯人是也。速沐以膏。

明日斯時、我遣便雅憫人就爾、爾必沐以膏、使為以色列族長、拯我民於非利士人手、蓋民呼籲於上、而我垂顧之。

我必待之以恩、不若掃羅、恩義已絕。昔我棄掃羅、簡擇於爾、必昌熾爾後、綿長爾祚、永世弗替。

夫萬物本之歸之之上帝、欲令眾子享其榮、緣救世之君受難、以為完人、

大闢獲寵於上帝前、欲為雅各之上帝創殿、

昔掃羅為王、治理我儕、爾導以色列族出入、耶和華有應許曰、爾必牧以色列族、為我民之長。

耶和華謂撒母耳曰、掃羅為以色列王、我不永其祚、汝為懷憂、伊於何底。可盛膏於角、我將遣爾至伯利恆人耶西所、其眾子中我簡其一、立之為王。
