But now your kingdom will not endure; the Lord has sought out a man after his own heart and appointed him ruler of his people, because you have not kept the Lord’s command.”

But now your kingdom won’t last. The Lord has already looked for a man who is dear to his heart. He has appointed him king of his people. That’s because you haven’t obeyed the Lord’ s command.”

既廢之、遂舉大衛為王、譽譽原文作證之曰、我遇耶西子大衛、乃合我心之人、凡事將遵我旨、

撒母耳曰、今日主將以色列之國絕於爾亦如此、以賜他人、善於爾者、

當初主在默示中應許虔誠人云、我施恩以助英雄、我升舉民中被選者、我尋得我僕人大衛、沐以我之聖膏、我手常護祐之、我臂常堅固之、不容仇敵欺壓之、不容惡人苦害之、我必在其前擊破其敵、必攻敗憾之之人、我之誠實、我之恩慈、永不離之、俾其倚賴我名、可以昂首自得、我使之左手伸至海、右手轄至大河、使之稱我為父為天主、為可倚賴之救主、我立之為長子、使之崇高、超軼世上列王、我時常向之施恩、與其立約、永無變更、使其後裔世世長存、使其國位與天同久、其子孫若違背我訓、不依我法度而行、廢棄我典章、不遵守我命令、我即以杖責其罪愆、以梃罰其過犯、然我恩澤仍不離之、我既應許、決不失信、不廢棄我所立之約、不更改我口中之言、我乃至聖、既向大衛一次指己而誓、決無虛言、必使其後裔存至永遠、使其國位在我前、如日之恆、又與月同久、此乃天上之明證、最為確實、細拉、

因此主以色列之天主云、我曾有言、爾之家與爾祖之家、必永在我前供祭司之職、必永在我前供祭司之職原文作永行於我前今我言、斷乎不然、凡尊重我者、我必使之得尊重、藐視我者必致愧怍、必致愧作或作必被藐視

爾返告我民之君希西家曰、主爾祖大衛之天主如是云、我已聞爾禱、已見爾淚、必愈爾病、至第三日、必得上我殿、

遂遣人召之來、其面赤色、雙目清秀、身材俊美、主曰、此人是也、起而膏之、

明日約此時、我將使一人自便雅憫地、來此就爾、爾必膏之立為我民以色列君、救我民脫於非利士人之手、蓋我垂顧我民、其呼籲上達於我、

但我之仁慈、仁慈或作恩寵仍不離之、如曾離掃羅、即我於爾前所棄者、爾家與爾國必穩立於我前、於我前原文作於爾前至於永遠、爾國位必堅定至於永遠、
