撒母耳对扫罗说：“你做了糊涂事了，没有遵守耶和华你神所吩咐你的命令。若遵守，耶和华必在以色列中坚立你的王位，直到永远。

撒母耳曰、爾所為者、違耶和華命、不智孰甚。昔耶和華欲立爾為以色列族王、永爾國祚、

撒母耳謂掃羅曰、爾之所行實愚、爾不守主爾天主所諭爾之命、若守之、則主必永堅爾國於以色列、

“ You have done a foolish thing,” Samuel said.“ You have not kept the command the Lord your God gave you; if you had, he would have established your kingdom over Israel for all time.

And Samuel said to Saul,“ You have done foolishly. You have not kept the command of the Lord your God, with which he commanded you. For then the Lord would have established your kingdom over Israel forever.

“ How foolish!” Samuel exclaimed.“ You have not kept the command the Lord your God gave you. Had you kept it, the Lord would have established your kingdom over Israel forever.

Samuel said to Saul,“ You have been foolish. You have not kept the command the LORD your God gave you. It was at this time that the LORD would have permanently established your reign over Israel,

But Samuel said to Saul,“ You have acted foolishly! You have not kept the commandment of the Lord your God, which He commanded you, for the Lord would now have established your kingdom over Israel forever.

And Samuel said to Saul,“ You have done foolishly. You have not kept the commandment of the Lord your God, which He commanded you. For now the Lord would have established your kingdom over Israel forever.

And Samuel said to Saul, Thou hast done foolishly; thou hast not kept the commandment of Jehovah thy God, which he commanded thee: for now would Jehovah have established thy kingdom upon Israel for ever.

Samuel said to Saul,“ You have been foolish. You have not kept the command which the Lord your God gave you. It was at this time that the Lord would have permanently established your reign over Israel,

And Samuel said to Saul, Thou hast done foolishly: thou hast not kept the commandment of the LORD thy God, which he commanded thee: for now would the LORD have established thy kingdom upon Israel for ever.

Then Samuel said to Saul,“ You have made a foolish choice! You have not obeyed the commandment that the LORD your God gave you. Had you done that, the LORD would have established your kingdom over Israel forever!

Samuel said to Saul,“ You have done foolishly. You have not kept the commandment of Yahweh your God, which he commanded you; for now Yahweh would have established your kingdom on Israel forever.

永恆主的眼目在全地上看來看去；凡以純全之心向他的人、他就顯大權能去幫助他。在這一點上你幹了糊塗事了！從今以後、你總有戰事了。』

撒母耳說：『永恆主喜愛燔祭和平安祭，哪如喜愛人之聽從永恆主的聲音呢？看哪，聽從勝於獻祭，留心聽、勝於公綿羊的脂肪。

『我設立掃羅為王、我後悔了，因為他退轉而不跟從我，不實行我吩咐的話。』撒母耳很着急，終夜向永恆主哀呼。

撒母耳對他說：『今天永恆主從你身上撕去了以色列國，給你鄰近的人、就是比你好的。

以利亞說：『把以色列搞壞的並不是我，乃是你、和你父的家呀；因為你離棄了永恆主的誡命，去隨從眾巴力。

人的愚妄使他所行的敗倒，他的心就向永恆主生氣。

即使我不因你的祭物來責備你——你的燔祭倒不斷在我面前——我也不從你家中取公牛，不從你圈中取公山羊。因為森林中的百獸是我的，千山上的牲畜是我的。空中的飛鳥我都認識；野地的動物都屬於我。就使我餓了，我也不用告訴你；因為世界和其中所充滿的、都是我的。難道我還喫雄壯公牛的肉麼？還喝公山羊的血麼？你要以感謝為祭獻與上帝；要向至高者還你所許的願；在患難的日子你要呼求我，我便救拔你；你就榮耀我。』

亞哈對以利亞說：『我的仇敵啊，你找到了我了麼？』以利亞說：『我找到了你了，因為你出賣了你自己，去行永恆主所看為壞的事。』

因此永恆主向亞瑪謝發怒，就差遣一個神言人來見他，對他說：『這一族民的神既不能援救自己的人民脫離你的手、你為甚麼還尋求他們呢？』神言人向王說話的時候，王對他說：『我們何曾立你做參謀呢？你止住、別說吧！為甚麼硬要被打死呢？』那神言人就止住了；可又再說：『我知道上帝是定下了主意要滅絕你的，因為你行這事，不聽我給你出的主意。』

他對君王說：「你無賴！」對貴族說：「你邪惡！」

拿單對大衛說：『你、你就是那人：永恆主以色列的上帝這麼說：「我、我膏立了你做王來管理以色列；我援救了你脫離掃羅的手；我將你主上的家業賜給你，將你主上的妻子交在你懷中；又將以色列家和猶大家賜給你；若太少了，我還要將這樣將那樣加給你呢。你為甚麼藐視永恆主的話，行他所看為壞的事；將赫人烏利亞用刀擊殺，而娶了他的妻做你的妻子，借亞捫人的刀去殺害他呢？

見異象者哈拿尼的兒子耶戶出來和約沙法王見面，對他說：『你哪可幫助惡人、愛那恨惡永恆主的人呢？因此那出於永恆主的震怒就要臨到你了。

原來希律、為了他兄弟腓力的妻子希羅底的緣故、曾把約翰抓住，給捆綁了，下在監裏；因為約翰屢次對他說：『你娶了這婦人是不合法的。』
