Samuel said to Saul,“ You have been foolish. You have not kept the command which the Lord your God gave you. It was at this time that the Lord would have permanently established your reign over Israel,

撒母耳对扫罗说：“你作了糊涂事了！你没有谨守耶和华你的神吩咐你的命令。如果你谨守，耶和华就必在以色列中坚立你的王位，直到永远。

撒母耳对扫罗说：“你做了愚蠢的事！你没有遵守耶和华你的神所吩咐你的诫命。不然，耶和华就会坚立你在以色列的王权到永远了；

撒母耳對掃羅說：『你幹了糊塗事了；假使你遵守永恆主你的上帝所吩咐你的命令，那麼永恆主就會在以色列中堅立你的王位、直到永遠。

撒母耳對掃羅說：「你做了愚蠢的事！你沒有遵守耶和華你的神所吩咐你的誡命。不然，耶和華就會堅立你在以色列的王權到永遠了；

撒母耳曰、爾所為者愚也、不遵爾上帝耶和華所命、如其遵之、則耶和華必在以色列中、堅爾國祚、歷久弗替、

撒母耳曰、爾所為者、違耶和華命、不智孰甚。昔耶和華欲立爾為以色列族王、永爾國祚、

撒母耳謂掃羅曰、爾之所行實愚、爾不守主爾天主所諭爾之命、若守之、則主必永堅爾國於以色列、

“ You have done a foolish thing,” Samuel said.“ You have not kept the command the Lord your God gave you; if you had, he would have established your kingdom over Israel for all time.

“ You have done a foolish thing,” Samuel said.“ You haven’t obeyed the command the Lord your God gave you. If you had, he would have made your kingdom secure over Israel for all time to come.

And Samuel said to Saul,“ You have done foolishly. You have not kept the command of the Lord your God, with which he commanded you. For then the Lord would have established your kingdom over Israel forever.

“ How foolish!” Samuel exclaimed.“ You have not kept the command the Lord your God gave you. Had you kept it, the Lord would have established your kingdom over Israel forever.

Samuel said to Saul,“ You have been foolish. You have not kept the command the LORD your God gave you. It was at this time that the LORD would have permanently established your reign over Israel,

But Samuel said to Saul,“ You have acted foolishly! You have not kept the commandment of the Lord your God, which He commanded you, for the Lord would now have established your kingdom over Israel forever.

And Samuel said to Saul,“ You have done foolishly. You have not kept the commandment of the Lord your God, which He commanded you. For now the Lord would have established your kingdom over Israel forever.

And Samuel said to Saul, Thou hast done foolishly; thou hast not kept the commandment of Jehovah thy God, which he commanded thee: for now would Jehovah have established thy kingdom upon Israel for ever.

And Samuel said to Saul, Thou hast done foolishly: thou hast not kept the commandment of the LORD thy God, which he commanded thee: for now would the LORD have established thy kingdom upon Israel for ever.

Then Samuel said to Saul,“ You have made a foolish choice! You have not obeyed the commandment that the LORD your God gave you. Had you done that, the LORD would have established your kingdom over Israel forever!

Samuel said to Saul,“ You have done foolishly. You have not kept the commandment of Yahweh your God, which he commanded you; for now Yahweh would have established your kingdom on Israel forever.

For the eyes of Yahweh roam throughout the earth to show Himself strong for those whose hearts are completely His. You have been foolish in this matter. Therefore, you will have wars from now on.”

Then Samuel said: Does the Lord take pleasure in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the Lord? Look: to obey is better than sacrifice, to pay attention is better than the fat of rams.

“ I regret that I made Saul king, for he has turned away from following Me and has not carried out My instructions.” So Samuel became angry and cried out to the Lord all night.

Samuel said to him,“ The Lord has torn the kingship of Israel away from you today and has given it to your neighbor who is better than you.

He replied,“ I have not destroyed Israel, but you and your father’s house have, because you have abandoned the Lord’s commands and followed the Baals.

A man’s own foolishness leads him astray, yet his heart rages against the Lord.

I do not rebuke you for your sacrifices or for your burnt offerings, which are continually before Me.I will not accept a bull from your household or male goats from your pens,for every animal of the forest is Mine, the cattle on a thousand hills.I know every bird of the mountains, and the creatures of the field are Mine.If I were hungry, I would not tell you, for the world and everything in it is Mine.Do I eat the flesh of bulls or drink the blood of goats?Sacrifice a thank offering to God, and pay your vows to the Most High.Call on Me in a day of trouble; I will rescue you, and you will honor Me.”

Ahab said to Elijah,“ So, you have caught me, my enemy.” He replied,“ I have caught you because you devoted yourself to do what is evil in the Lord’s sight.

So the Lord’s anger was against Amaziah, and He sent a prophet to him, who said,“ Why have you sought a people’s gods that could not deliver their own people from your hand?”While he was still speaking to him, the king asked,“ Have we made you the king’s counselor? Stop, why should you lose your life?” So the prophet stopped, but he said,“ I know that God intends to destroy you, because you have done this and have not listened to my advice.”

who says to a king,“ Worthless man!” and to nobles,“ Wicked men!”?

Nathan replied to David,“ You are the man! This is what the Lord God of Israel says:‘ I anointed you king over Israel, and I delivered you from the hand of Saul.I gave your master’s house to you and your master’s wives into your arms, and I gave you the house of Israel and Judah, and if that was not enough, I would have given you even more.Why then have you despised the command of the Lord by doing what I consider evil? You struck down Uriah the Hittite with the sword and took his wife as your own wife— you murdered him with the Ammonite’s sword.

Then Jehu son of Hanani the seer went out to confront him and said to King Jehoshaphat,“ Do you help the wicked and love those who hate the Lord? Because of this, the Lord’s wrath is on you.

For Herod had arrested John, chained him, and put him in prison on account of Herodias, his brother Philip’s wife,since John had been telling him,“ It’s not lawful for you to have her!”
