“ After Jacob entered Egypt, they cried to the Lord for help, and the Lord sent Moses and Aaron, who brought your ancestors out of Egypt and settled them in this place.

“ After Jacob’s family entered Egypt, they cried out to the Lord for help. The Lord sent Moses and Aaron. They brought your people out of Egypt. They had them make their homes in this land.

When Jacob went into Egypt, and the Egyptians oppressed them, then your fathers cried out to the Lord and the Lord sent Moses and Aaron, who brought your fathers out of Egypt and made them dwell in this place.

“ When the Israelites were in Egypt and cried out to the Lord, he sent Moses and Aaron to rescue them from Egypt and to bring them into this land.

“ When Jacob went to Egypt, your ancestors cried out to the LORD, and he sent them Moses and Aaron, who led your ancestors out of Egypt and settled them in this place.

When he sees you, he will be glad in his heart.Now you shall speak to him and put the words in his mouth. And I will be with your mouth and with his mouth, and I will teach you what you shall do.So he shall be your spokesman to the people. And he himself shall be as a mouth for you, and you shall be to him as God.

Now it happened in the process of time that the king of Egypt died. Then the children of Israel groaned because of the bondage, and they cried out; and their cry came up to God because of the bondage.So God heard their groaning, and God remembered His covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.

and said to the children of Israel,“ Thus says the Lord God of Israel:‘ I brought up Israel out of Egypt, and delivered you from the hand of the Egyptians and from the hand of all kingdoms and from those who oppressed you.’

how our fathers went down to Egypt, and we dwelt in Egypt a long time, and the Egyptians afflicted us and our fathers.

Be strong and of good courage, for to this people you shall divide as an inheritance the land which I swore to their fathers to give them.

So Jacob went down to Egypt; and he died, he and our fathers.

Then Samuel said to the people,“ It is the Lord who raised up Moses and Aaron, and who brought your fathers up from the land of Egypt.

So the Lord saved Israel that day out of the hand of the Egyptians, and Israel saw the Egyptians dead on the seashore.Thus Israel saw the great work which the Lord had done in Egypt; so the people feared the Lord, and believed the Lord and His servant Moses.

And it came to pass, on that very same day, that the Lord brought the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt according to their armies.

And He brought them to His holy border, This mountain which His right hand had acquired.He also drove out the nations before them, Allotted them an inheritance by survey, And made the tribes of Israel dwell in their tents.

Then Jacob arose from Beersheba; and the sons of Israel carried their father Jacob, their little ones, and their wives, in the carts which Pharaoh had sent to carry him.So they took their livestock and their goods, which they had acquired in the land of Canaan, and went to Egypt, Jacob and all his descendants with him.His sons and his sons’ sons, his daughters and his sons’ daughters, and all his descendants he brought with him to Egypt.

And Joshua said,“ By this you shall know that the living God is among you, and that He will without fail drive out from before you the Canaanites and the Hittites and the Hivites and the Perizzites and the Girgashites and the Amorites and the Jebusites:Behold, the ark of the covenant of the Lord of all the earth is crossing over before you into the Jordan.Now therefore, take for yourselves twelve men from the tribes of Israel, one man from every tribe.And it shall come to pass, as soon as the soles of the feet of the priests who bear the ark of the Lord, the Lord of all the earth, shall rest in the waters of the Jordan, that the waters of the Jordan shall be cut off, the waters that come down from upstream, and they shall stand as a heap.”

Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel has come to Me, and I have also seen the oppression with which the Egyptians oppress them.Come now, therefore, and I will send you to Pharaoh that you may bring My people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt.”

We have heard with our ears, O God, Our fathers have told us, The deeds You did in their days, In days of old:You drove out the nations with Your hand, But them You planted; You afflicted the peoples, and cast them out.For they did not gain possession of the land by their own sword, Nor did their own arm save them; But it was Your right hand, Your arm, and the light of Your countenance, Because You favored them.

These are the same Aaron and Moses to whom the Lord said,“ Bring out the children of Israel from the land of Egypt according to their armies.”

And the Lord said to Aaron,“ Go into the wilderness to meet Moses.” So he went and met him on the mountain of God, and kissed him.So Moses told Aaron all the words of the Lord who had sent him, and all the signs which He had commanded him.Then Moses and Aaron went and gathered together all the elders of the children of Israel.And Aaron spoke all the words which the Lord had spoken to Moses. Then he did the signs in the sight of the people.So the people believed; and when they heard that the Lord had visited the children of Israel and that He had looked on their affliction, then they bowed their heads and worshiped.

He gave them the lands of the Gentiles, And they inherited the labor of the nations,

“ Moses My servant is dead. Now therefore, arise, go over this Jordan, you and all this people, to the land which I am giving to them— the children of Israel.Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given you, as I said to Moses.From the wilderness and this Lebanon as far as the great river, the River Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and to the Great Sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your territory.
