And he said unto them, The LORD[ is] witness against you, and his anointed[ is] witness this day, that ye have not found ought in my hand. And they answered,[ He is] witness.

撒母耳对他们说：“今天耶和华在你们中间作见证，他的膏立者也作见证；你们在我手里没有找到什么。”他们说：“愿他作证。”

曰、屬爾之物、爾曹於我手無所得、有主與主所立受膏者今日為證、眾民曰、願為證、

Samuel said to them,“ The Lord is witness against you, and also his anointed is witness this day, that you have not found anything in my hand.”“ He is witness,” they said.

Samuel said to them,“ The Lord is a witness against you this day. And so is his anointed king. They are witnesses that I haven’t taken anything from any of you.”“ The Lord is a witness,” they said.

And he said to them,“ The Lord is witness against you, and his anointed is witness this day, that you have not found anything in my hand.” And they said,“ He is witness.”

“ The Lord and his anointed one are my witnesses today,” Samuel declared,“ that my hands are clean.”“ Yes, he is a witness,” they replied.

He said to them,“ The LORD is a witness against you, and his anointed is a witness today that you haven’t found anything in my hand.”“ He is a witness,” they said.

So he said to them,“ The Lord is witness against you, and His anointed is witness this day that you have found nothing in my hand.” And they said,“ He is witness.”

Then he said to them,“ The Lord is witness against you, and His anointed is witness this day, that you have not found anything in my hand.” And they answered,“ He is witness.”

And he said unto them, Jehovah is witness against you, and his anointed is witness this day, that ye have not found aught in my hand. And they said, He is witness.

He said to them,“ The Lord is a witness against you, and His anointed is a witness today that you haven’t found anything in my hand.”“ He is a witness,” they said.

He said to them,“ The LORD is witness against you, and his chosen king is witness this day, that you have not found any reason to accuse me.” They said,“ He is witness!”

He said to them,“ Yahweh is witness against you, and his anointed is witness today, that you have not found anything in my hand.” They said,“ He is witness.”

If the theft be certainly found in his hand alive, whether it be ox, or ass, or sheep; he shall restore double.

Or else let these same[ here] say, if they have found any evil doing in me, while I stood before the council,

And there arose a great cry: and the scribes[ that were] of the Pharisees’ part arose, and strove, saying, We find no evil in this man: but if a spirit or an angel hath spoken to him, let us not fight against God.

For our rejoicing is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom, but by the grace of God, we have had our conversation in the world, and more abundantly to you-ward.

For I know nothing by myself; yet am I not hereby justified: but he that judgeth me is the Lord.

And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offence toward God, and[ toward] men.

Oh that one would hear me! behold, my desire[ is, that] the Almighty would answer me, and[ that] mine adversary had written a book.Surely I would take it upon my shoulder,[ and] bind it[ as] a crown to me.I would declare unto him the number of my steps; as a prince would I go near unto him.If my land cry against me, or that the furrows likewise thereof complain;If I have eaten the fruits thereof without money, or have caused the owners thereof to lose their life:Let thistles grow instead of wheat, and cockle instead of barley. The words of Job are ended.

And it was[ so], that after the LORD had spoken these words unto Job, the LORD said to Eliphaz the Temanite, My wrath is kindled against thee, and against thy two friends: for ye have not spoken of me[ the thing that is] right, as my servant Job[ hath].

And David said to Abishai, Destroy him not: for who can stretch forth his hand against the LORD’S anointed, and be guiltless?

Pilate saith unto him, What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and saith unto them, I find in him no fault[ at all].

Thou hast proved mine heart; thou hast visited[ me] in the night; thou hast tried me,[ and] shalt find nothing; I am purposed[ that] my mouth shall not transgress.
