我在此、爾於耶和華及其受膏者前、可為我證、我曾強取何人之牛、刦奪何人之驢、欺侮何人、苛虐何人、受賕於何人之手、以蔽我目、若有、我必償之、

何嘗奪人之牛驢、何嘗虐取人、挾制人、受人之賄賂以蔽我明、有一於此、我即償之。我在此於耶和華前、及受膏者前、彼得為證。

我在此、爾可於主前及主所立受膏者前、證我曾奪誰之牛、曾奪誰之驢、曾挾制誰、曾暴虐誰、曾受誰之賄而掩我目、若有、我即償之、

Here I stand. Testify against me in the presence of the Lord and his anointed. Whose ox have I taken? Whose donkey have I taken? Whom have I cheated? Whom have I oppressed? From whose hand have I accepted a bribe to make me shut my eyes? If I have done any of these things, I will make it right.”

Here I stand. Bring charges against me if you can. The Lord is a witness. And so is his anointed king. Whose ox have I taken? Whose donkey have I taken? Have I cheated anyone? Have I treated anyone badly? Have I accepted money from anyone who wanted special favors? If I’ve done any of these things, I’ll make it right.”

Here I am; testify against me before the Lord and before his anointed. Whose ox have I taken? Or whose donkey have I taken? Or whom have I defrauded? Whom have I oppressed? Or from whose hand have I taken a bribe to blind my eyes with it? Testify against me and I will restore it to you.”

Now testify against me in the presence of the Lord and before his anointed one. Whose ox or donkey have I stolen? Have I ever cheated any of you? Have I ever oppressed you? Have I ever taken a bribe and perverted justice? Tell me and I will make right whatever I have done wrong.”

Here I am. Bring charges against me before the LORD and his anointed: Whose ox or donkey have I taken? Who have I wronged or mistreated? Who gave me a bribe to overlook something? I will return it to you.”

Here I am; testify against me before the Lord and His anointed. Whose ox have I taken, or whose donkey have I taken, or whom have I exploited? Whom have I oppressed, or from whose hand have I taken a bribe to close my eyes with it? I will return it to you.”

Here I am. Witness against me before the Lord and before His anointed: Whose ox have I taken, or whose donkey have I taken, or whom have I cheated? Whom have I oppressed, or from whose hand have I received any bribe with which to blind my eyes? I will restore it to you.”

Here I am: witness against me before Jehovah, and before his anointed: whose ox have I taken? or whose ass have I taken? or whom have I defrauded? whom have I oppressed? or of whose hand have I taken a ransom to blind mine eyes therewith? and I will restore it you.

Behold, here I[ am]: witness against me before the LORD, and before his anointed: whose ox have I taken? or whose ass have I taken? or whom have I defrauded? whom have I oppressed? or of whose hand have I received[ any] bribe to blind mine eyes therewith? and I will restore it you.

Here I am. Witness against me before Yahweh, and before his anointed. Whose ox have I taken? Whose donkey have I taken? Whom have I defrauded? Whom have I oppressed? Of whose hand have I taken a bribe to make me blind my eyes? I will restore it to you.”

Moses was very angry, and he said to the LORD,“ Have no respect for their offering! I have not taken so much as one donkey from them, nor have I harmed any one of them!”

I have desired no one’s silver or gold or clothing.

He said to his men,“ May the LORD keep me far away from doing such a thing to my lord, who is the LORD’s chosen one, by extending my hand against him. After all, he is the LORD’s chosen one.”

Then Samuel took a small container of olive oil and poured it on Saul’s head. Samuel kissed him and said,“ The LORD has chosen you to lead his people Israel! You will rule over the LORD’s people and you will deliver them from the power of the enemies who surround them. This will be your sign that the LORD has chosen you as leader over his inheritance.

You must not pervert justice or show favor. Do not take a bribe, for bribes blind the eyes of the wise and distort the words of the righteous.

“ You must not accept a bribe, for a bribe blinds those who see and subverts the words of the righteous.

Give a shepherd’s care to God’s flock among you, exercising oversight not merely as a duty but willingly under God’s direction, not for shameful profit but eagerly.

He said to them,“ The LORD is witness against you, and his chosen king is witness this day, that you have not found any reason to accuse me.” They said,“ He is witness!”

“ You shall not covet your neighbor’s house. You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that belongs to your neighbor.”

You are witnesses, and so is God, as to how holy and righteous and blameless our conduct was toward you who believe.

David replied to him,“ How is it that you were not afraid to reach out your hand to destroy the LORD’s anointed?”Then David called one of the soldiers and said,“ Come here and strike him down!” So he struck him down, and he died.David said to him,“ Your blood be on your own head! Your own mouth has testified against you, saying‘ I have put the LORD’s anointed to death.’”

For we never appeared with flattering speech, as you know, nor with a pretext for greed– God is our witness–

when it happens that he sins and he is found guilty, then he must return whatever he had stolen, or whatever he had extorted, or the thing that he had held in trust, or the lost thing that he had found,

Look, for the third time I am ready to come to you, and I will not be a burden to you, because I do not want your possessions, but you. For children should not have to save up for their parents, but parents for their children.

Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except by God’s appointment, and the authorities that exist have been instituted by God.So the person who resists such authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will incur judgment( for rulers cause no fear for good conduct but for bad). Do you desire not to fear authority? Do good and you will receive its commendation,for it is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be in fear, for it does not bear the sword in vain. It is God’s servant to administer retribution on the wrongdoer.Therefore it is necessary to be in subjection, not only because of the wrath of the authorities but also because of your conscience.For this reason you also pay taxes, for the authorities are God’s servants devoted to governing.Pay everyone what is owed: taxes to whom taxes are due, revenue to whom revenue is due, respect to whom respect is due, honor to whom honor is due.

They replied,“ Caesar’s.” He said to them,“ Then give to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.”

If the stolen item should in fact be found alive in his possession, whether it be an ox or a donkey or a sheep, he must pay back double.

But Zacchaeus stopped and said to the Lord,“ Look, Lord, half of my possessions I now give to the poor, and if I have cheated anyone of anything, I am paying back four times as much!”
