For the LORD will not forsake his people for his great name’s sake: because it hath pleased the LORD to make you his people.

For the sake of his great name the Lord will not reject his people, because the Lord was pleased to make you his own.

But the Lord will be true to his great name. He won’t turn his back on his people. That’s because he was pleased to make you his own people.

For the Lord will not forsake his people, for his great name’s sake, because it has pleased the Lord to make you a people for himself.

The Lord will not abandon his people, because that would dishonor his great name. For it has pleased the Lord to make you his very own people.

The LORD will not abandon his people, because of his great name and because he has determined to make you his own people.

For the Lord will not abandon His people on account of His great name, because the Lord has been pleased to make you a people for Himself.

For the Lord will not forsake His people, for His great name’s sake, because it has pleased the Lord to make you His people.

For Jehovah will not forsake his people for his great name’s sake, because it hath pleased Jehovah to make you a people unto himself.

The Lord will not abandon His people, because of His great name and because He has determined to make you His own people.

The LORD will not abandon his people because he wants to uphold his great reputation. The LORD was pleased to make you his own people.

For Yahweh will not forsake his people for his great name’s sake, because it has pleased Yahweh to make you a people for himself.

Nevertheless he saved them for his name’s sake, that he might make his mighty power to be known.

And I will dwell among the children of Israel, and will not forsake my people Israel.

The LORD did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people; for ye[ were] the fewest of all people:But because the LORD loved you, and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn unto your fathers, hath the LORD brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondmen, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.

Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform[ it] until the day of Jesus Christ:

For the Canaanites and all the inhabitants of the land shall hear[ of it], and shall environ us round, and cut off our name from the earth: and what wilt thou do unto thy great name?

For the gifts and calling of God[ are] without repentance.

For thou[ art] an holy people unto the LORD thy God, and the LORD hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all the nations that[ are] upon the earth.

For the Lord will not cast off for ever:But though he cause grief, yet will he have compassion according to the multitude of his mercies.

Do not abhor[ us], for thy name’s sake, do not disgrace the throne of thy glory: remember, break not thy covenant with us.

That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.

But ye[ are] a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

I,[ even] I,[ am] he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.

But I wrought for my name’s sake, that it should not be polluted before the heathen, in whose sight I brought them out.

For the LORD will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance.

Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in thy sight.

But I wrought for my name’s sake, that it should not be polluted before the heathen, among whom they[ were], in whose sight I made myself known unto them, in bringing them forth out of the land of Egypt.

Wherefore should the Egyptians speak, and say, For mischief did he bring them out, to slay them in the mountains, and to consume them from the face of the earth? Turn from thy fierce wrath, and repent of this evil against thy people.

And I will forsake the remnant of mine inheritance, and deliver them into the hand of their enemies; and they shall become a prey and a spoil to all their enemies;

I have loved you, saith the LORD. Yet ye say, Wherein hast thou loved us?[ Was] not Esau Jacob’s brother? saith the LORD: yet I loved Jacob,

Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and[ that] your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

Not for thy righteousness, or for the uprightness of thine heart, dost thou go to possess their land: but for the wickedness of these nations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee, and that he may perform the word which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

And I will bring the blind by a way[ that] they knew not; I will lead them in paths[ that] they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them.

And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the LORD searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever.

For mine own sake,[ even] for mine own sake, will I do[ it]: for how should[ my name] be polluted? and I will not give my glory unto another.

O LORD, though our iniquities testify against us, do thou[ it] for thy name’s sake: for our backslidings are many; we have sinned against thee.

Wherefore dost thou forget us for ever,[ and] forsake us so long time?

Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth[ is] mine:And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These[ are] the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.

To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.

[ Let your] conversation[ be] without covetousness;[ and be] content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

[ When] the poor and needy seek water, and[ there is] none,[ and] their tongue faileth for thirst, I the LORD will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them.

And Moses said unto the LORD, Then the Egyptians shall hear[ it],( for thou broughtest up this people in thy might from among them;)And they will tell[ it] to the inhabitants of this land:[ for] they have heard that thou LORD[ art] among this people, that thou LORD art seen face to face, and[ that] thy cloud standeth over them, and[ that] thou goest before them, by day time in a pillar of a cloud, and in a pillar of fire by night.Now[ if] thou shalt kill[ all] this people as one man, then the nations which have heard the fame of thee will speak, saying,Because the LORD was not able to bring this people into the land which he sware unto them, therefore he hath slain them in the wilderness.And now, I beseech thee, let the power of my Lord be great, according as thou hast spoken, saying,The LORD[ is] longsuffering, and of great mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression, and by no means clearing[ the guilty], visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth[ generation].Pardon, I beseech thee, the iniquity of this people according unto the greatness of thy mercy, and as thou hast forgiven this people, from Egypt even until now.

I said, I would scatter them into corners, I would make the remembrance of them to cease from among men:Were it not that I feared the wrath of the enemy, lest their adversaries should behave themselves strangely,[ and] lest they should say, Our hand[ is] high, and the LORD hath not done all this.

Considerest thou not what this people have spoken, saying, The two families which the LORD hath chosen, he hath even cast them off? thus they have despised my people, that they should be no more a nation before them.Thus saith the LORD; If my covenant[ be] not with day and night,[ and if] I have not appointed the ordinances of heaven and earth;Then will I cast away the seed of Jacob, and David my servant,[ so] that I will not take[ any] of his seed[ to be] rulers over the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob: for I will cause their captivity to return, and have mercy on them.

For I will defend this city to save it for mine own sake, and for my servant David’s sake.

Then my anger shall be kindled against them in that day, and I will forsake them, and I will hide my face from them, and they shall be devoured, and many evils and troubles shall befall them; so that they will say in that day, Are not these evils come upon us, because our God[ is] not among us?

As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.What shall we say then?[ Is there] unrighteousness with God? God forbid.For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.So then[ it is] not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth.Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will[ have mercy], and whom he will he hardeneth.

For who maketh thee to differ[ from another]? and what hast thou that thou didst not receive? now if thou didst receive[ it], why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received[ it]?

And he went out to meet Asa, and said unto him, Hear ye me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin; The LORD[ is] with you, while ye be with him; and if ye seek him, he will be found of you; but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you.
