For the sake of his great name the Lord will not reject his people, because the Lord was pleased to make you his own.

But the Lord will be true to his great name. He won’t turn his back on his people. That’s because he was pleased to make you his own people.

For the Lord will not forsake his people, for his great name’s sake, because it has pleased the Lord to make you a people for himself.

The Lord will not abandon his people, because that would dishonor his great name. For it has pleased the Lord to make you his very own people.

“ The Lord was devoted to you and chose you, not because you were more numerous than all peoples, for you were the fewest of all peoples.But because the Lord loved you and kept the oath He swore to your fathers, He brought you out with a strong hand and redeemed you from the place of slavery, from the power of Pharaoh king of Egypt.

I am sure of this, that He who started a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

When the Canaanites and all who live in the land hear about this, they will surround us and wipe out our name from the earth. Then what will You do about Your great name?”

since God’s gracious gifts and calling are irrevocable.

for you are a holy people belonging to the Lord your God. The Lord has chosen you to be His own possession out of all the peoples on the face of the earth.

For the Lord will not reject us forever.Even if He causes suffering, He will show compassion according to His abundant, faithful love.

Because of Your name, don’t despise us. Don’t disdain Your glorious throne. Remember Your covenant with us; do not break it.

so that we who had already put our hope in the Messiah might bring praise to His glory.

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for His possession, so that you may proclaim the praises of the One who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.

“ It is I who sweep away your transgressions for My own sake and remember your sins no more.

But I acted because of My name, so that it would not be profaned in the eyes of the nations in whose sight I had brought them out.

The Lord will not forsake His people or abandon His heritage,

Yes, Father, because this was Your good pleasure.

But I acted because of My name, so that it would not be profaned in the eyes of the nations they were living among, in whose sight I had made Myself known to Israel by bringing them out of Egypt.

Why should the Egyptians say,‘ He brought them out with an evil intent to kill them in the mountains and wipe them off the face of the earth’? Turn from Your great anger and relent concerning this disaster planned for Your people.

I will abandon the remnant of My inheritance and hand them over to their enemies. They will become plunder and spoil to all their enemies,

“ I have loved you,” says the Lord. But you ask:“ How have You loved us?”“ Wasn’t Esau Jacob’s brother?” This is the Lord’s declaration.“ Even so, I loved Jacob,

You did not choose Me, but I chose you. I appointed you that you should go out and produce fruit and that your fruit should remain, so that whatever you ask the Father in My name, He will give you.

You are not going to take possession of their land because of your righteousness or your integrity. Instead, the Lord your God will drive out these nations before you because of their wickedness, in order to keep the promise He swore to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

I will lead the blind by a way they did not know; I will guide them on paths they have not known. I will turn darkness to light in front of them and rough places into level ground. This is what I will do for them, and I will not forsake them.

“ As for you, Solomon my son, know the God of your father, and serve Him with a whole heart and a willing mind, for the Lord searches every heart and understands the intention of every thought. If you seek Him, He will be found by you, but if you forsake Him, He will reject you forever.

I will act for My own sake, indeed, My own, for how can I be defiled? I will not give My glory to another.

Though our guilt testifies against us, Yahweh, act for Your name’s sake. Indeed, our rebellions are many; we have sinned against You.

Why have You forgotten us forever, abandoned us for our entire lives?

Now if you will listen to Me and carefully keep My covenant, you will be My own possession out of all the peoples, although all the earth is Mine,and you will be My kingdom of priests and My holy nation.’ These are the words that you are to say to the Israelites.”

Your life should be free from the love of money. Be satisfied with what you have, for He Himself has said, I will never leave you or forsake you.

But He will not leave the guilty unpunished, bringing the consequences of the fathers’ wrongdoing on the children to the third and fourth generation.Please pardon the wrongdoing of this people, in keeping with the greatness of Your faithful love, just as You have forgiven them from Egypt until now.”

“ I would have said: I will cut them to pieces and blot out the memory of them from mankind,if I had not feared insult from the enemy, or feared that these foes might misunderstand and say:‘ Our own hand has prevailed; it wasn’t the Lord who did all this.’”

“ Have you not noticed what these people have said? They say,‘ The Lord has rejected the two families He had chosen.’ My people are treated with contempt and no longer regarded as a nation among them.This is what the Lord says: If I do not keep My covenant with the day and with the night and fail to establish the fixed order of heaven and earth,then I might also reject the seed of Jacob and of My servant David— not taking from his descendants rulers over the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Instead, I will restore their fortunes and have compassion on them.”

I will defend this city and rescue it because of Me and because of My servant David.”

My anger will burn against them on that day; I will abandon them and hide My face from them so that they will become easy prey. Many troubles and afflictions will come to them. On that day they will say,‘ Haven’t these troubles come to us because our God is no longer with us?’

As it is written: I have loved Jacob, but I have hated Esau.What should we say then? Is there injustice with God? Absolutely not!For He tells Moses: I will show mercy to whom I will show mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.So then it does not depend on human will or effort but on God who shows mercy.For the Scripture tells Pharaoh: I raised you up for this reason so that I may display My power in you and that My name may be proclaimed in all the earth.So then, He shows mercy to those He wants to, and He hardens those He wants to harden.

For who makes you so superior? What do you have that you didn’t receive? If, in fact, you did receive it, why do you boast as if you hadn’t received it?

So he went out to meet Asa and said to him,“ Asa and all Judah and Benjamin, hear me. The Lord is with you when you are with Him. If you seek Him, He will be found by you, but if you abandon Him, He will abandon you.
