For the sake of his great name the Lord will not reject his people, because the Lord was pleased to make you his own.

But the Lord will be true to his great name. He won’t turn his back on his people. That’s because he was pleased to make you his own people.

The Lord will not abandon his people, because that would dishonor his great name. For it has pleased the Lord to make you his very own people.

The LORD will not abandon his people, because of his great name and because he has determined to make you his own people.

For the Lord will not abandon His people on account of His great name, because the Lord has been pleased to make you a people for Himself.

For the Lord will not forsake His people, for His great name’s sake, because it has pleased the Lord to make you His people.

For Jehovah will not forsake his people for his great name’s sake, because it hath pleased Jehovah to make you a people unto himself.

The Lord will not abandon His people, because of His great name and because He has determined to make you His own people.

For the LORD will not forsake his people for his great name’s sake: because it hath pleased the LORD to make you his people.

The LORD will not abandon his people because he wants to uphold his great reputation. The LORD was pleased to make you his own people.

For Yahweh will not forsake his people for his great name’s sake, because it has pleased Yahweh to make you a people for himself.

Yet he saved them for his name’s sake, that he might make known his mighty power.

And I will dwell among the children of Israel and will not forsake my people Israel.”

It was not because you were more in number than any other people that the Lord set his love on you and chose you, for you were the fewest of all peoples,but it is because the Lord loves you and is keeping the oath that he swore to your fathers, that the Lord has brought you out with a mighty hand and redeemed you from the house of slavery, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.

And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.

For the Canaanites and all the inhabitants of the land will hear of it and will surround us and cut off our name from the earth. And what will you do for your great name?”

For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.

For you are a people holy to the Lord your God, and the Lord has chosen you to be a people for his treasured possession, out of all the peoples who are on the face of the earth.

For the Lord will not cast off forever,but, though he cause grief, he will have compassion according to the abundance of his steadfast love;

Do not spurn us, for your name’s sake; do not dishonor your glorious throne; remember and do not break your covenant with us.

so that we who were the first to hope in Christ might be to the praise of his glory.

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.

“ I, I am he who blots out your transgressions for my own sake, and I will not remember your sins.

But I acted for the sake of my name, that it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations, in whose sight I had brought them out.

For the Lord will not forsake his people; he will not abandon his heritage;

yes, Father, for such was your gracious will.

You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you.

Not because of your righteousness or the uprightness of your heart are you going in to possess their land, but because of the wickedness of these nations the Lord your God is driving them out from before you, and that he may confirm the word that the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.

And I will lead the blind in a way that they do not know, in paths that they have not known I will guide them. I will turn the darkness before them into light, the rough places into level ground. These are the things I do, and I do not forsake them.

I would have said,“ I will cut them to pieces; I will wipe them from human memory,”had I not feared provocation by the enemy, lest their adversaries should misunderstand, lest they should say,“ Our hand is triumphant, it was not the Lord who did all this.”’

“ Have you not observed that these people are saying,‘ The Lord has rejected the two clans that he chose’? Thus they have despised my people so that they are no longer a nation in their sight.Thus says the Lord: If I have not established my covenant with day and night and the fixed order of heaven and earth,then I will reject the offspring of Jacob and David my servant and will not choose one of his offspring to rule over the offspring of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. For I will restore their fortunes and will have mercy on them.”

For I will defend this city to save it, for my own sake and for the sake of my servant David.”

Then my anger will be kindled against them in that day, and I will forsake them and hide my face from them, and they will be devoured. And many evils and troubles will come upon them, so that they will say in that day,‘ Have not these evils come upon us because our God is not among us?’

As it is written,“ Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated.”What shall we say then? Is there injustice on God’s part? By no means!For he says to Moses,“ I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.”So then it depends not on human will or exertion, but on God, who has mercy.For the Scripture says to Pharaoh,“ For this very purpose I have raised you up, that I might show my power in you, and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth.”So then he has mercy on whomever he wills, and he hardens whomever he wills.

For who sees anything different in you? What do you have that you did not receive? If then you received it, why do you boast as if you did not receive it?

and he went out to meet Asa and said to him,“ Hear me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin: The Lord is with you while you are with him. If you seek him, he will be found by you, but if you forsake him, he will forsake you.
