你们已经有君王了。我自幼带领你们，现在已年老发白，我的儿子也都在你们这里。

现在有这王在你们前面行。我已年老发白，我的儿子都在你们这里。我从幼年直到今日都在你们前面行。

现在，看哪，有这王行走在你们前面。我已年老发白，看哪，我的儿子都在你们这里。我从幼年直到今日都行走在你们前面。

看哪，現在有這王帶領你們了。至於我，我已經年老髮白；而我的兒子們在這裡與你們在一起。我從年輕時到今天一直帶領你們。

今有王出入於爾前、我已年邁皓首、我子與爾相處、我自幼出入於爾前、至於今日、

我今年邁、首已皓然、我子與爾雜處、所治爾者、惟此人也。我自幼迄今、治理爾曹、

今有此王率爾、率爾原文作行於爾前我今年邁、髮已皓然、我子與爾偕矣、我自幼率爾率爾原文作行於爾前至於今日、

Now you have a king as your leader. As for me, I am old and gray, and my sons are here with you. I have been your leader from my youth until this day.

Now you have a king as your leader. But I’m old. My hair is gray. My sons are here with you. I’ve been your leader from the time I was young until this day.

And now, behold, the king walks before you, and I am old and gray; and behold, my sons are with you. I have walked before you from my youth until this day.

Your king is now your leader. I stand here before you— an old, gray haired man— and my sons serve you. I have served as your leader from the time I was a boy to this very day.

Now you can see that the king is leading you. As for me, I’m old and gray, and my sons are here with you. I have led you from my youth until now.

Now, here is the king walking before you, but as for me, I am old and gray, and my sons are here with you. And I have walked before you since my youth to this day.

And now here is the king, walking before you; and I am old and grayheaded, and look, my sons are with you. I have walked before you from my childhood to this day.

And now, behold, the king walketh before you; and I am old and grayheaded; and, behold, my sons are with you: and I have walked before you from my youth unto this day.

Now you can see that the king is leading you. As for me, I’m old and gray, and my sons are here with you. I have led you from my youth until today.

说：“你年纪大了，你的儿子不效法你。现在求你为我们立一个王治理我们，像其他国家一样。”

这样我们就会像其他国家一样，有王来统治我们，率领我们，为我们作战。”

撒母耳在年老的时候立了他的儿子做以色列人的士师。

带领他们或进或退，免得你的会众像没有牧人的羊群。”

然而，他们没有效法自己的父亲，而是爱慕不义之财，贪赃枉法。

撒母耳渐渐长大，耶和华与他同在，使他所说的话没有一句落空。从但到别示巴，全以色列的人都知道撒母耳被立为耶和华的先知。

以利叫他：“撒母耳，我的孩子。”撒母耳答道：“我在这里。”

上帝啊，就是我年老发白的时候，求你也不要丢弃我，好让我把你的大能告诉下一代，世代相传。

因我知道自己离世的日子已经不远了，正如我们的主耶稣基督指示我的。

以利年事已高，他听说两个儿子对待以色列人的恶行，以及他们与在会幕门口供职的妇女行淫的事后，

耶和华说：“雅各家啊，以色列家的余民啊，要听我说。你们一出生，我就照顾你们；一出母胎，我就呵护你们。即使你们年老发白的时候，我仍然一如既往地扶持你们。我造了你们，必照顾你们，扶持你们，拯救你们。

我对以利说过我要永远惩罚他家，因为他知道自己的儿子亵渎我，却没有制止他们。

我的生命如同奉献在祭坛上的酒正倾倒出来，我离世的日子快要到了。

你们为什么蔑视献给我的祭物和供品？你为什么把你的儿子看得比我还重要，拿我以色列子民所献的上好祭物来养肥自己？’
