So Samuel called unto the LORD; and the LORD sent thunder and rain that day: and all the people greatly feared the LORD and Samuel.

Then Samuel called on the Lord, and that same day the Lord sent thunder and rain. So all the people stood in awe of the Lord and of Samuel.

Then all the men of Judah and Benjamin gathered themselves together unto Jerusalem within three days. It[ was] the ninth month, on the twentieth[ day] of the month; and all the people sat in the street of the house of God, trembling because of[ this] matter, and for the great rain.

Then believed they his words; they sang his praise.They soon forgat his works; they waited not for his counsel:

And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed.These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.

And Moses stretched forth his rod toward heaven: and the LORD sent thunder and hail, and the fire ran along upon the ground; and the LORD rained hail upon the land of Egypt.So there was hail, and fire mingled with the hail, very grievous, such as there was none like it in all the land of Egypt since it became a nation.And the hail smote throughout all the land of Egypt all that[ was] in the field, both man and beast; and the hail smote every herb of the field, and brake every tree of the field.
