Then Samuel called on the Lord, and that same day the Lord sent thunder and rain. So all the people stood in awe of the Lord and of Samuel.

又見耶和華於埃及人所施之大能、遂寅畏耶和華、而篤信之、亦信其僕摩西、

三日內九月二十日、猶大與便雅憫人、咸集於耶路撒冷、坐於上帝室前之場、緣此事及霪雨、莫不戰慄、

民信其言、而歌頌之兮、遽爾忘其作為、不俟其旨兮、

若有欲害之者、則有火出其口而吞其敵、凡欲害之者、必如是見殺也、彼有權閉天、使於其預言之日不雨、亦有權治諸水、變之為血、且隨其所欲、以各災擊地、

摩西遂舉杖向天、耶和華使雷震雹降、火閃於地、雹遍埃及、雹中雜火、其勢甚烈、自埃及肇基以來、未之有也、埃及通國人畜、凡在田者、咸被雹擊、田蔬悉傷、園木盡折、
