次日，他们向耶和华献平安祭和燔祭，就是献公牛一千只，公绵羊一千只，羊羔一千只，并同献的奠祭；又为以色列众人献许多的祭。那日，他们在耶和华面前吃喝，大大欢乐。他们奉耶和华的命再膏大卫的儿子所罗门作王，又膏撒督作祭司。于是所罗门坐在耶和华所赐的位上，接续他父亲大卫作王，万事亨通；以色列众人也都听从他。众首领和勇士，并大卫王的众子，都顺服所罗门王。 (cunps)

现在，你们所求所选的王在这里。看哪，耶和华已经为你们立王了。你们若敬畏耶和华，侍奉他，听从他的话，不违背他的命令，你们和治理你们的王也都顺从耶和华你们的神就好了。倘若不听从耶和华的话，违背他的命令，耶和华的手必攻击你们，像从前攻击你们列祖一样。 (cunps)

百姓竟不肯听撒母耳的话，说：“不然！我们定要一个王治理我们， (cunps)

这不是割麦子的时候吗？我求告耶和华，他必打雷降雨，使你们又知道又看出，你们求立王的事是在耶和华面前犯大罪了。” (cunps)

你曾求我说：‘给我立王和首领。’现在你的王在哪里呢？治理你的在哪里呢？让他在你所有的城中拯救你吧！我在怒气中将王赐你，又在烈怒中将王废去。 (cunps)
