Then Samuel said to the people,“ Come, let us go to Gilgal and there renew the kingdom.”

撒母耳對人民說：『來吧，我們往吉甲去，在那裏更新君王國事。』

撒母耳對民眾說：「走，讓我們到吉甲去，在那裡重新確立王權。」

撒母耳謂民曰、我儕其往吉甲、在彼復建其國、

Then Samuel said to the people,“ Come, let us go to Gilgal and there renew the kingship.”

Then Samuel said to the people,“ Come on. Let’s go to Gilgal. There we’ll agree again to have Saul as our king.”

Then Samuel said to the people,“ Come, let us all go to Gilgal to renew the kingdom.”

Then Samuel said to the people,“ Come, let’s go to Gilgal, so we can renew the kingship there.”

Then Samuel said to the people,“ Come, and let us go to Gilgal and renew the kingdom there.”

Then Samuel said to the people,“ Come, let us go to Gilgal and renew the kingdom there.”

Then said Samuel to the people, Come, and let us go to Gilgal, and renew the kingdom there.

Then Samuel said to the people,“ Come, let’s go to Gilgal, so we can renew the kingship there.”

Then go down before me to Gilgal. And behold, I am coming down to you to offer burnt offerings and to sacrifice peace offerings. Seven days you shall wait, until I come to you and show you what you shall do.”

And he went on a circuit year by year to Bethel, Gilgal, and Mizpah. And he judged Israel in all these places.

And Samuel said to all the people,“ Do you see him whom the Lord has chosen? There is none like him among all the people.” And all the people shouted,“ Long live the king!”Then Samuel told the people the rights and duties of the kingship, and he wrote them in a book and laid it up before the Lord. Then Samuel sent all the people away, each one to his home.

And when the people of Ashdod rose early the next day, behold, Dagon had fallen face downward on the ground before the ark of the Lord. So they took Dagon and put him back in his place.

All these, men of war, arrayed in battle order, came to Hebron with a whole heart to make David king over all Israel. Likewise, all the rest of Israel were of a single mind to make David king.And they were there with David for three days, eating and drinking, for their brothers had made preparation for them.
