此後、爾至神邱、神邱或作天主之基比亞在彼有非利士人之營、爾既入邑、必遇一群先知、自崇邱而下、其前有鼓瑟者、擊鼓者、吹笛者、彈琴者、俱感神而言、

“ After that you will go to Gibeah of God, where there is a Philistine outpost. As you approach the town, you will meet a procession of prophets coming down from the high place with lyres, timbrels, pipes and harps being played before them, and they will be prophesying.

“ After that, you will go to Gibeah of God. Some Philistine soldiers are stationed there. As you approach the town, you will meet a group of prophets. They’ll be coming down from the high place where they worship. People will be playing lyres, tambourines, flutes and harps at the head of the group. The prophets will be prophesying.

After that you shall come to Gibeath-elohim, where there is a garrison of the Philistines. And there, as soon as you come to the city, you will meet a group of prophets coming down from the high place with harp, tambourine, flute, and lyre before them, prophesying.

“ When you arrive at Gibeah of God, where the garrison of the Philistines is located, you will meet a band of prophets coming down from the place of worship. They will be playing a harp, a tambourine, a flute, and a lyre, and they will be prophesying.

“ After that you will come to Gibeah of God where there are Philistine garrisons. When you arrive at the city, you will meet a group of prophets coming down from the high place prophesying. They will be preceded by harps, tambourines, flutes, and lyres.

Afterward you will come to the hill of God where the Philistine garrison is; and it shall be as soon as you have come there to the city, that you will meet a group of prophets coming down from the high place with harp, tambourine, flute, and a lyre in front of them, and they will be prophesying.

After that you shall come to the hill of God where the Philistine garrison is. And it will happen, when you have come there to the city, that you will meet a group of prophets coming down from the high place with a stringed instrument, a tambourine, a flute, and a harp before them; and they will be prophesying.

After that thou shalt come to the hill of God, where is the garrison of the Philistines: and it shall come to pass, when thou art come thither to the city, that thou shalt meet a band of prophets coming down from the high place with a psaltery, and a timbrel, and a pipe, and a harp, before them; and they will be prophesying:

Afterward you will go to Gibeah of God, where there are Philistine officials. When you enter the town, you will meet a company of prophets coming down from the high place. They will have harps, tambourines, flutes, and lyres, and they will be prophesying.

“ After that you will come to the hill of God, where the garrison of the Philistines is; and it will happen, when you have come there to the city, that you will meet a band of prophets coming down from the high place with a lute, a tambourine, a pipe, and a harp before them; and they will be prophesying.

約拿單擊打了那在迦巴的非利士人駐防兵；非利士人聽見了；掃羅就在遍地吹號角，意思是說：「要使希伯來人聽見」。

掃羅打發差役去捉拿大衛；去的人看見一羣神言人正在傳神言，撒母耳也站在其中監管着他們；掃羅的差役們也受上帝的靈感動而發神言狂。

住耶利哥的神言人弟子們走近以利沙身邊，對他說：『永恆主今天要將你老師接去、使你沒有首領，你知道不知道？』他說：『我知道；你們可別作聲。』

掃羅從那裏到了基比亞，看哪，有一班神言人迎見着他，上帝的靈大大感動他，他就在他們中間受感動而發神言狂。

大衛和事務隊長們也將亞薩希幔耶杜頓子孫中一些人分別出來，叫他們拿琴瑟響鈸來傳神言。那些按這種事務去作工的人、其數目如下：屬亞薩兒子的；有撒刻、約瑟、尼探雅、亞薩利拉、都是亞薩的兒子，在亞薩手下受指揮，亞薩則在王手下受指揮以音樂而傳神言。屬耶杜頓的：有耶杜頓的兒子基大利、西利、耶篩亞、示每、哈沙比雅、瑪他提雅、六個人，都在他們父親耶杜頓手下受指揮；耶杜頓則拿琴來傳神言，稱謝讚美永恆主。屬希幔的：有希幔的兒子布基雅、瑪探雅、烏薛、書巴業、耶利摩、哈拿尼雅、哈拿尼、以利亞他、基大利提、羅幔提以謝、約施比加沙、瑪羅提、何提、瑪哈秀。這些人都是希幔的兒子；希幔是為王做見異象者的，在上帝的事情上來高舉其角的：上帝賜給希幔十四個兒子、三個女兒。這些人在永恆主之殿的音樂上都在他們父親手下受指揮；他們拿響鈸琴瑟來服務於上帝的殿；至於在王手下受指揮的乃是亞薩耶杜頓希幔。

那些在離不太遠的耶利哥神言人弟子們看見他，就說：『那感動以利亞的靈真地住在以利沙身上了。』他們就來迎接他，俯伏於地拜他。

在伯特利的神言人弟子們出來見以利沙，對他說：『永恆主今天要將你老師接去、使你沒有首領，你知道不知道？』他說：『我知道；你們可別作聲。』

神言人弟子們對以利沙說：『看哪、我們在你講座之前所住的地方過於狹窄、不夠我們使用。

以利沙又來到吉甲；那地正鬧饑荒；神言人弟子們坐在他面前；他吩咐僮僕說：『你將大鍋放在火上，給神言人弟子們煮豆湯。』

我要傾耳聽箴言，我要用琴解開我的難題。

在他們那裏有號筒和響鈸跟頌讚上帝的樂器。耶杜頓的兒子們呢、是守門的。

少女回答他們說：『在這裏；看哪，就在你們面前呢；現在快去吧；因為他今天正到城裏來，因為今天在邱壇那裏、人民有獻祭的事。

王又派立了利未人在永恆主殿中拿着響鈸琴瑟，按照大衛和為王做見異象者迦得跟神言人拿單所吩咐的，因為所吩咐的是永恆主的手令由他的神言人經手傳布的。利未人拿着大衛的樂器、祭司拿着號筒一齊站立着。希西家吩咐要在祭壇上將燔祭獻上。燔祭一開始獻上，頌讚永恆主的詩歌也開始唱起來；隨有號筒，並有以色列王大衛的各種樂器伴奏着。

這樣、歌唱者希幔、亞薩、以探要拿銅鈸大聲作樂；撒迦利雅、烏薛、示米拉末、耶歇、烏尼、以利押、瑪西雅、比拿雅要鼓瑟，調用高音：瑪他提雅、以利斐利戶、彌克尼雅、俄別以東、耶利、亞撒西雅要領首彈琴，調用第八度低音。

亞倫的姐姐、女神言人米利暗、手裏拿着手鼓，眾婦女也跟着她出去，拿着手鼓在舞蹈。米利暗跟她們唱和着說：『你們要歌頌永恆主，因為他得勝昂首，將馬和騎兵投入海中。』

你們要吹號角頌讚他；要鼓瑟彈琴頌讚他！要擊手鼓舞蹈頌讚他；要用絲絃的樂器和簫笛頌讚他！要用響亮的鐃鈸頌讚他；用鏗鏗鏘鏘的鐃鈸頌讚他！凡有氣息的都要頌讚永恆主！哈利路亞！

為首的是亞薩，其次是撒迦利雅、烏薛、示米拉末、耶歇、瑪他提雅、以利押、比拿雅、俄別以東、耶利、拿琴瑟等樂器，亞薩拿響鈸、大聲作樂。

你們要追求愛，也要切慕屬靈的事，尤其要切慕傳講神言的才能。

大衛和以色列眾人用詩歌、拿琴瑟、手鼓、響鈸及號筒在永恆主面前極力嬉戲作樂。

大衛和所有抬櫃的利未人、和歌唱者、跟音樂主任基拿尼雅、都穿着細麻布外袍；大衛另外穿着細麻布聖裲襠。這樣、以色列眾人就歡呼吹號角、拿號筒響鈸和琴瑟大聲作樂，將永恆主的約櫃接上來了。
