“ After that you will go to Gibeah of God, where there is a Philistine outpost. As you approach the town, you will meet a procession of prophets coming down from the high place with lyres, timbrels, pipes and harps being played before them, and they will be prophesying.

耶利哥的先知们从远处看见他，就说：“以利亚的灵降在以利沙身上了。”他们就上前迎接，俯伏在他面前，

伯特利的众先知出来见以利沙，问他：“你知道耶和华今天要接走你师傅吗？”他说：“我知道，请不要作声。”

一群先知对以利沙说：“你看，我们住的地方实在太小了。

以利沙回到吉甲，那里正闹饥荒。一群先知坐在他面前，他吩咐仆人把一口大锅放在火上给他们煮汤。

我要侧耳听箴言，弹琴解释人生之谜。

希幔和耶杜顿负责用号、钹及其他乐器伴奏歌颂上帝。耶杜顿的子孙负责守门。

她们答道：“他在这里，就在你们前面。你们快去吧，他今天刚到城里来，因为今天人们在丘坛献祭。

王又分派利未人在耶和华的殿里敲钹、鼓瑟、弹琴，正如大卫王、王的先见迦得和先知拿单的指示，即耶和华借先知所吩咐的。利未人拿着大卫的乐器侍立在那里，祭司拿着号角侍立在那里。希西迦下令在坛上献燔祭。开始献燔祭时，伴随着号角声和以色列王大卫的乐器声，响起了颂赞耶和华的歌声。

歌乐手希幔、亚萨和以探负责敲铜钹，撒迦利雅、雅薛、示米拉末、耶歇、乌尼、以利押、玛西雅、比拿雅负责鼓瑟，调用高音。玛他提雅、以利斐利户、弥克尼雅、俄别·以东、耶利、亚撒西雅负责带领弹琴，调用低音。

亚伦的姐姐米利暗是个先知，她手拿小鼓，带领妇女击鼓跳舞，唱道：“要歌颂耶和华，因祂大获全胜，把马和骑兵都抛进海中。”

要吹响号角赞美祂，要弹琴鼓瑟赞美祂！要击鼓跳舞赞美祂，要拨弦吹笛赞美祂！要击响铙钹赞美祂，用响亮的钹声赞美祂！凡有生命的都要赞美耶和华！你们要赞美耶和华！

为首的是亚萨，其次是撒迦利雅、雅薛、示米拉末、耶歇、玛他提雅、以利押、比拿雅、俄别·以东和耶利，他们鼓瑟弹琴，亚萨敲钹。

你们要追求爱，也要切慕属灵的恩赐，尤其是做先知讲道的恩赐。

大卫和以色列众人就在上帝面前用琴、瑟、鼓、钹和号奏乐，尽情歌舞。

大卫和抬约柜的利未人、歌乐手及其领班基拿尼雅都穿上细麻衣，大卫还穿上细麻布的以弗得。以色列人把耶和华的约柜抬了上来，一路上欢呼吹角、鸣号、敲钹、鼓瑟、弹琴，大声奏乐。
