“ Then you will go on from there until you reach the great tree of Tabor. Three men going up to worship God at Bethel will meet you there. One will be carrying three young goats, another three loaves of bread, and another a skin of wine.

“ You will go on from Zelzah until you come to the large tree at Tabor. Three men will meet you there. They’ll be on their way up to Bethel to worship God. One of them will be carrying three young goats. Another will be carrying three loaves of bread. A third will be carrying a bottle of wine. It will be a bottle made out of animal skin.

Then you shall go on from there farther and come to the oak of Tabor. Three men going up to God at Bethel will meet you there, one carrying three young goats, another carrying three loaves of bread, and another carrying a skin of wine.

“ You will proceed from there until you come to the oak of Tabor. Three men going up to God at Bethel will meet you there, one bringing three goats, one bringing three loaves of bread, and one bringing a clay jar of wine.

Then you will go on further from there, and you will come as far as the oak of Tabor, and there three men going up to God at Bethel will meet you: one carrying three young goats, another carrying three loaves of bread, and another carrying a jug of wine.

Then you shall go on forward from there and come to the terebinth tree of Tabor. There three men going up to God at Bethel will meet you, one carrying three young goats, another carrying three loaves of bread, and another carrying a skin of wine.

Then shalt thou go on forward from thence, and thou shalt come to the oak of Tabor; and there shall meet thee there three men going up to God to Beth- el, one carrying three kids, and another carrying three loaves of bread, and another carrying a bottle of wine:

“ You will proceed from there until you come to the oak of Tabor. Three men going up to God at Bethel will meet you there, one bringing three goats, one bringing three loaves of bread, and one bringing a skin of wine.

Then shalt thou go on forward from thence, and thou shalt come to the plain of Tabor, and there shall meet thee three men going up to God to Bethel, one carrying three kids, and another carrying three loaves of bread, and another carrying a bottle of wine:

“ As you continue on from there, you will come to the tall tree of Tabor. At that point three men who are going up to God at Bethel will meet you. One of them will be carrying three young goats, one of them will be carrying three round loaves of bread, and one of them will be carrying a container of wine.

“ Then you will go on forward from there, and you will come to the oak of Tabor. Three men will meet you there going up to God to Bethel, one carrying three young goats, and another carrying three loaves of bread, and another carrying a container of wine.

Then God said to Jacob,“ Get ready and move to Bethel and settle there. Build an altar there to the God who appeared to you when you fled from your brother, Esau.”

And this memorial pillar I have set up will become a place for worshiping God, and I will present to God a tenth of everything he gives me.”

We are now going to Bethel, where I will build an altar to the God who answered my prayers when I was in distress. He has been with me wherever I have gone.”

He named that place Bethel( which means“ house of God”), although it was previously called Luz.

“ If you present an animal from the flock as a peace offering to the Lord, it may be a male or a female, but it must have no defects.

“ If you present a goat as your offering, bring it to the Lord,

One day she sent for Barak son of Abinoam, who lived in Kedesh in the land of Naphtali. She said to him,“ This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, commands you: Call out 10,000 warriors from the tribes of Naphtali and Zebulun at Mount Tabor.

Eventually, Jacob and his household arrived at Luz( also called Bethel) in Canaan.Jacob built an altar there and named the place El bethel( which means“ God of Bethel”), because God had appeared to him there when he was fleeing from his brother, Esau.Soon after this, Rebekah’s old nurse, Deborah, died. She was buried beneath the oak tree in the valley below Bethel. Ever since, the tree has been called Allon bacuth( which means“ oak of weeping”).

With it you must present a grain offering consisting of four quarts of choice flour moistened with olive oil. It will be a special gift, a pleasing aroma to the Lord. You must also offer one quart of wine as a liquid offering.

The boundary also touched Tabor, Shahazumah, and Beth shemesh, ending at the Jordan River— sixteen towns with their surrounding villages.

“ If the animal you present as a burnt offering is from the flock, it may be either a sheep or a goat, but it must be a male with no defects.

When Sisera was told that Barak son of Abinoam had gone up to Mount Tabor,

This peace offering of thanksgiving must also be accompanied by loaves of bread made with yeast.

For each lamb offered as a burnt offering or a special sacrifice, you must also present one quart of wine as a liquid offering.“ If the sacrifice is a ram, give a grain offering of four quarts of choice flour mixed with a third of a gallon of olive oil,and give a third of a gallon of wine as a liquid offering. This will be a pleasing aroma to the Lord.“ When you present a young bull as a burnt offering or as a sacrifice to fulfill a vow or as a peace offering to the Lord,you must also give a grain offering of six quarts of choice flour mixed with two quarts of olive oil,and give two quarts of wine as a liquid offering. This will be a special gift, a pleasing aroma to the Lord.“ Each sacrifice of a bull, ram, lamb, or young goat should be prepared in this way.Follow these instructions with each offering you present.

In the other direction, the boundary went east from Sarid to the border of Kisloth tabor, and from there to Daberath and up to Japhia.

You created north and south. Mount Tabor and Mount Hermon praise your name.

Then Gideon asked Zebah and Zalmunna,“ The men you killed at Tabor— what were they like?”“ Like you,” they replied.“ They all had the look of a king’s son.”
