就問永恆主說：『那人到這裏來了沒有？』永恆主說：『看哪，他藏在行李中呢。』

就问耶和华说：“那人到这里来了没有？”耶和华说：“他藏在器具中了。”

就再问耶和华说：“那人来到这里了没有？”耶和华说：“看哪，他藏在物品堆中。”

就再问耶和华说：“那人来到这里了没有？”耶和华说：“看哪，他藏在物品堆中。”

他们便求问耶和华，说：“这人来了吗？”耶和华说：“他来了，躲在行李堆中。”

于是他们求问耶和华：“那人到这里来了没有？”耶和华说：“他躲在那些物件中。”

于是他们再次求问耶和华：“那人来了这里没有？”耶和华说：“看哪，他躲藏在行李堆中。”

就問耶和華說：「那人到這裏來了沒有？」耶和華說：「他藏在器具中了。」

就再問耶和華說：「那人來到這裏了沒有？」耶和華說：「看哪，他藏在物品堆中。」

就再問耶和華說：「那人來到這裏了沒有？」耶和華說：「看哪，他藏在物品堆中。」

他們便求問耶和華，說：「這人來了嗎？」耶和華說：「他來了，躲在行李堆中。」

於是他們求問耶和華：“那人到這裡來了沒有？”耶和華說：“他躲在那些物件中。”

於是他們再次求問耶和華：「那人來了這裡沒有？」耶和華說：「看哪，他躲藏在行李堆中。」

問於耶和華曰、其人至此乎、耶和華曰、彼匿於什物之間、

So they inquired further of the Lord,“ Has the man come here yet?” And the Lord said,“ Yes, he has hidden himself among the supplies.”

They needed more help from the Lord. So they asked him,“ Has the man come here yet?” The Lord said,“ Yes. He has hidden himself among the supplies.”

So they inquired again of the Lord,“ Is there a man still to come?” and the Lord said,“ Behold, he has hidden himself among the baggage.”

So they asked the Lord,“ Where is he?” And the Lord replied,“ He is hiding among the baggage.”

They again inquired of the LORD,“ Has the man come here yet?” The LORD replied,“ There he is, hidden among the supplies.”

Therefore they inquired further of the Lord:“ Has the man come here yet?” And the Lord said,“ Behold, he is hiding himself among the baggage.”

Therefore they inquired of the Lord further,“ Has the man come here yet?” And the Lord answered,“ There he is, hidden among the equipment.”

Therefore they asked of Jehovah further, Is there yet a man to come hither? And Jehovah answered, Behold, he hath hid himself among the baggage.

They again inquired of the Lord,“ Has the man come here yet?” The Lord replied,“ There he is, hidden among the supplies.”

Therefore they enquired of the LORD further, if the man should yet come thither. And the LORD answered, Behold, he hath hid himself among the stuff.

So they inquired again of the LORD,“ Has the man arrived here yet?” The LORD said,“ He has hidden himself among the equipment.”

Therefore they asked of Yahweh further,“ Is there yet a man to come here?” Yahweh answered,“ Behold, he has hidden himself among the baggage.”

他要侍立在祭司以利亞撒面前，以利亞撒要憑烏陵的判斷在永恆主面前為他求問，他和跟着的以色列眾人、全會眾、都要照以利亞撒所吩咐的而出，照以利亞撒所吩咐的而入。』

約書亞死了以後，以色列人求問永恆主說：『誰要為我們先上去攻擊迦南人，和他們交戰呢？』

大衛就求問永恆主說：『我去擊打這些非利士人、可以不可以？』永恆主對大衛說：『你可以擊打非利士人，拯救基伊拉。』跟從大衛的人對他說：『看哪，我們在猶大地這裏尚且懼怕，何況往基伊拉去攻打非利士人的陣營呢？』於是大衛又求問永恆主。永恆主回答說：『你只管起身、下基伊拉去；我必將非利士人交在你手裏。』

以色列人就起來，到伯特利去求問上帝，說：『我們中間誰該先上去、同便雅憫人交戰呢？』永恆主說：『猶大應該先上去。』

掃羅會不會照僕人所聽到的下來呢？永恆主以色列的上帝啊，求你告訴僕人。』永恆主說：『掃羅必下來。』大衛又說：『基伊拉公民會不會將我和跟從我的人送交掃羅手裏呢？』永恆主說：『會送交的。』

未擺陣之先，以色列人上去，在永恆主面前哭哭啼啼、直到晚上，求問永恆主說：『再去同我們的族弟兄便雅憫人在戰陣上接觸、可以不可以？』永恆主說：『你們可以上去攻打他們。』

掃羅回答說：『我，我不是便雅憫人、以色列族派中至小的麼？我家不是便雅憫族派眾家中至微小的麼？你為甚麼對我說這樣的話呢？』

因為凡自高的必被降卑；自己謙卑的必被升高。』

撒母耳說：『你雖曾自看為微小，你豈不是以色列族派的元首麼？永恆主膏立了你為王來管理以色列；
