Then Samuel took a flask of olive oil and poured it on Saul’s head and kissed him, saying,“ Has not the Lord anointed you ruler over his inheritance?

Then Samuel took a bottle of olive oil. He poured it on Saul’s head and kissed him. He said,“ The Lord has anointed you to be the king of his people.

Then Samuel took a flask of oil and poured it on his head and kissed him and said,“ Has not the Lord anointed you to be prince over his people Israel? And you shall reign over the people of the Lord and you will save them from the hand of their surrounding enemies. And this shall be the sign to you that the Lord has anointed you to be prince over his heritage.

Then Samuel took a small container of olive oil and poured it on Saul’s head. Samuel kissed him and said,“ The LORD has chosen you to lead his people Israel! You will rule over the LORD’s people and you will deliver them from the power of the enemies who surround them. This will be your sign that the LORD has chosen you as leader over his inheritance.

Then Samuel took the vial of oil, and poured it on his head, and kissed him, and said,“ Hasn’t Yahweh anointed you to be prince over his inheritance?

撒母耳就用角裏的膏油，在他的兄長中膏了他。從這日起，耶和華的靈就大大感動大衛。撒母耳起身回拉瑪去了。

因為耶和華的份是他的百姓，他的產業就是雅各。

叫他不再牧放那些母羊，為要牧養自己的百姓雅各和自己的產業以色列。

當親吻兒子，免得他發怒，你們就在半途中滅亡，因為他的怒氣快要發作。凡投靠他的，都是有福的。

「明日這時候，我必使一個人從便雅憫地到你這裏來，你要膏他作我百姓以色列的君王。他必救我的百姓脫離非利士人的手，因為我眷顧我的百姓，他們的哀聲已上達於我。」

從前掃羅作我們王的時候，率領以色列人出入的是你。耶和華也曾對你說：『你必牧養我的百姓以色列，你必作以色列的君王。』」

原來那為萬物所屬、為萬物所本的，為要領許多兒子進入榮耀，使救他們的元帥因受苦難而得以完全，本是合宜的。

耶和華絕不允許我伸手害耶和華的受膏者。現在你可以把他頭旁的槍和水壺拿來，我們就走。」

如今你們若真的聽從我的話，遵守我的約，就要在萬民中作屬我的子民，因為全地都是我的。你們要歸我作祭司的國度，為神聖的國民。』這些話你要告訴以色列人。」

他說：「不，我現在來是要作耶和華軍隊的元帥。」約書亞就臉伏於地下拜，說：「我主有甚麼話，請吩咐僕人吧！」耶和華軍隊的元帥對約書亞說：「把你腳上的鞋脫下來，因為你所站的地方是聖的。」約書亞就照着做了。

他一拿了書卷，四活物和二十四位長老就俯伏在羔羊面前，各拿着琴和盛滿了香的金爐；這香就是眾聖徒的祈禱。

如今他們罪上加罪，為自己鑄造偶像，憑自己的聰明用銀子造偶像，全都是匠人所製的。論到它，有話說：獻祭的人都要親吻牛犢。

百姓卻不肯聽撒母耳的話，說：「不！我們一定要一個王治理我們，

與耶和華相爭的，必被打碎；他必從天上打雷攻擊他們。耶和華審判地極的人，將力量賜給所立的王，高舉受膏者的角。」

用聖潔的吻向眾弟兄問安。

但我在以色列中留下七千人，是未曾向巴力屈膝，未曾親吻巴力的。」

他對他的人說：「耶和華絕不允許我對我的主，耶和華的受膏者做這事，伸手害他，因為他是耶和華的受膏者。」

現在你的國度必不長久。耶和華已經尋着一個合他心意的人，立他作百姓的君王，因為你沒有遵守耶和華所吩咐你的。」

於是眾百姓過了約旦河，王也過去了。王親吻巴西萊，為他祝福，巴西萊就回自己的地方去了。

雅各所得的福分不是這樣，因主是那創造萬有的，以色列是他產業的支派，萬軍之耶和華是他的名。

從那時起，他們要求立一個王，上帝就將便雅憫支派中基士的兒子掃羅給他們作王，共四十年。

耶和華揀選雅各歸自己，揀選以色列作他寶貴的產業。

現在你只管聽從他們的話，不過要嚴厲警告他們，告訴他們將來王會用甚麼方式管轄他們。」

以利沙先知叫了一個先知的門徒來，吩咐他：「你束上腰，手拿這瓶膏油往基列的拉末去。

把瓶裏的膏油倒在他頭上，說：『耶和華如此說：我膏你作以色列王。』然後你就開門逃跑，不要等候。」於是那青年，那年輕的先知往基列的拉末去了。他到了那裏，看哪，眾軍官都坐着，就說：「長官，我有話對你說。」耶戶說：「你要對我們哪一個說呢？」他說：「長官，我要對你說。」耶戶就起來，進了內室，那青年把膏油倒在他頭上，對他說：「耶和華－以色列的上帝如此說：『我膏你作耶和華百姓以色列的王。

「你回去告訴我百姓的君王希西家說：耶和華－你祖先大衛的上帝如此說：『我聽見了你的禱告，看見了你的眼淚。看哪，我必醫治你；到第三日，你必上到耶和華的殿。
