Then Samuel took a flask of olive oil and poured it on Saul’s head and kissed him, saying,“ Has not the Lord anointed you ruler over his inheritance?

Then Samuel took a bottle of olive oil. He poured it on Saul’s head and kissed him. He said,“ The Lord has anointed you to be the king of his people.

Then Samuel took a flask of oil and poured it on his head and kissed him and said,“ Has not the Lord anointed you to be prince over his people Israel? And you shall reign over the people of the Lord and you will save them from the hand of their surrounding enemies. And this shall be the sign to you that the Lord has anointed you to be prince over his heritage.

Then Samuel took a flask of olive oil and poured it over Saul’s head. He kissed Saul and said,“ I am doing this because the Lord has appointed you to be the ruler over Israel, his special possession.

Then Samuel took a small container of olive oil and poured it on Saul’s head. Samuel kissed him and said,“ The LORD has chosen you to lead his people Israel! You will rule over the LORD’s people and you will deliver them from the power of the enemies who surround them. This will be your sign that the LORD has chosen you as leader over his inheritance.

Then Samuel took the vial of oil, and poured it on his head, and kissed him, and said,“ Hasn’t Yahweh anointed you to be prince over his inheritance?

撒母耳就拿出盛膏油的角，當著他哥哥們的面膏立他。從那天起，耶和華的靈降在大衛身上。事後，撒母耳回拉瑪去了。

但以色列人屬於耶和華，雅各是祂的產業。

讓他離開牧羊的生活，去牧養祂的子民雅各的後裔，牧養祂的產業以色列。

要降服在祂兒子面前，免得祂發怒，你們便在罪惡中滅亡，因為祂的怒氣將臨。投靠祂的人有福了！

「明天這個時候，我會從便雅憫境內差遣一個人到你這裡，你要膏立他做我以色列子民的首領，他會從非利士人手中把我的子民拯救出來，因為我已聽到我子民的呼求，我要施恩給他們。」

從前掃羅做王的時候，率領以色列人出征打仗的是你，耶和華也曾應許讓你做祂以色列子民的牧者和首領。」

作為萬物的歸宿和根源的上帝，叫救恩的元帥耶穌經歷苦難而得以純全，以便帶領許多的兒女進入榮耀，這樣的安排是恰當的。

我在耶和華面前絕不敢出手傷害祂所膏立的王。我們拿走他旁邊的矛和水瓶吧。」

現在，倘若你們認真聽從我的話，遵守我的約，就必在萬民中做我的子民，因為普天下都是我的。你們要歸於我，作祭司之國、聖潔之邦。這些話你要告訴以色列人。』」

那人答道：「都不是，我來是做耶和華軍隊的統帥。」約書亞就俯伏下拜說：「我主，有什麼話要吩咐僕人？」耶和華軍隊的統帥對約書亞說：「把你腳上的鞋脫下！因為你站的地方是聖潔的。」約書亞便把鞋脫下來。

祂拿過書卷後，四個活物和二十四位長老就俯伏在羔羊面前，各拿著豎琴和盛滿了香的金香爐。那些香就是眾聖徒的祈禱。

如今他們作惡日甚，憑藉自己的聰明用銀子鑄造神像，但這不過是匠人之作。人們議論他們說：「那些獻祭的人竟親吻牛犢偶像！」

民眾卻不肯聽從撒母耳的話。他們說：「不，我們想要一個王治理我們，

跟耶和華對抗的人必被擊潰，祂必從天上用雷擊打他。祂必審判天下，賜力量給祂所立的君王，使祂所膏立的人大有權柄。」

要以聖潔的吻問候眾弟兄姊妹。

此外，我在以色列留下七千人，他們未曾跪拜巴力，也未曾親吻巴力。」

他對部下說：「我不該做這樣的事，我主是耶和華所膏立的王，我絕不出手傷害他，因為他是耶和華所膏立的。」

但現在你的王位不能長久了，耶和華已經找到一個合祂心意的人，要立他做百姓的君王。因為你沒有遵守耶和華的命令。」

王和眾人過了約旦河以後，就親吻巴西萊，為他祝福。巴西萊返回了家鄉。

但雅各的上帝截然不同，祂是萬物的創造者，被稱為「萬軍之耶和華」，以色列是祂的子民。

「後來，他們求上帝為他們立一位王，上帝就選立便雅憫支派中基士的兒子掃羅為王，執政四十年。

祂揀選雅各做祂的子民，揀選以色列作祂的產業。

你就照他們所求的去做吧！但你要警告他們，讓他們知道將來王會怎樣管轄他們。」

以利沙先知叫來一個先知，吩咐他：「你要束上腰帶，拿著這瓶膏油去基列的拉末。

把這瓶膏油倒在他頭上，告訴他，『耶和華說，我膏立你為以色列王。』然後，你要馬上開門逃走，不可遲延。」於是，那位年輕的先知啟程前往基列的拉末。到了那裡，他看見眾將領正坐在一起，便說：「將軍，我有話對你說。」耶戶說：「你想對我們哪一個說話？」他說：「將軍啊，我有話對你說。」耶戶便站起來，隨他進入屋裡。他將膏油倒在耶戶頭上，說：「以色列的上帝耶和華說，『我膏立你做我以色列子民的王。

「回去告訴我子民的首領希西迦，『你祖先大衛的上帝耶和華說，我已聽見你的禱告，看見了你的眼淚。我要醫治你，三天後你就可以上耶和華的殿。
