Her husband, Elkanah, replied,“ Do what you think is best, and stay here until you’ve weaned him. May the LORD confirm your word.” So Hannah stayed there and nursed her son until she weaned him.

她丈夫以利加拿對她說：「你看怎樣好就怎樣做吧，你可以留下來，直到你給他斷奶。唯願耶和華實現他的話。」於是哈娜留下來，乳養她的兒子，直到給孩子斷了奶。

以利加拿曰、爾視為善者則行之、待子斷乳可也、惟願耶和華踐其言、婦遂居家哺子、迨及斷乳、

以利迦拿曰、任爾所為、待子斷乳可也、願耶和華前所言者、必能有應、婦居哺子、迨及斷乳。

“ Do what seems best to you,” her husband Elkanah told her.“ Stay here until you have weaned him; only may the Lord make good his word.” So the woman stayed at home and nursed her son until she had weaned him.

Her husband Elkanah told her,“ Do what you think is best. Stay here at home until Samuel doesn’t need you to breast- feed him anymore. May the Lord make his promise to you come true.” So Hannah stayed home. She breast- fed her son until he didn’t need her milk anymore.

Elkanah her husband said to her,“ Do what seems best to you; wait until you have weaned him; only, may the Lord establish his word.” So the woman remained and nursed her son until she weaned him.

“ Whatever you think is best,” Elkanah agreed.“ Stay here for now, and may the Lord help you keep your promise.” So she stayed home and nursed the boy until he was weaned.

Elkanah her husband said to her,“ Do what seems best to you. Stay until you have weaned him; only may the Lord confirm His word.” So the woman stayed and nursed her son until she weaned him.

So Elkanah her husband said to her,“ Do what seems best to you; wait until you have weaned him. Only let the Lord establish His word.” Then the woman stayed and nursed her son until she had weaned him.

And Elkanah her husband said unto her, Do what seemeth thee good; tarry until thou have weaned him; only Jehovah establish his word. So the woman tarried and gave her son suck, until she weaned him.

Her husband Elkanah replied,“ Do what you think is best, and stay here until you’ve weaned him. May the Lord confirm your word.” So Hannah stayed there and nursed her son until she weaned him.

And Elkanah her husband said unto her, Do what seemeth thee good; tarry until thou have weaned him; only the LORD establish his word. So the woman abode, and gave her son suck until she weaned him.

So her husband Elkanah said to her,“ Do what you think best. Stay until you have weaned him. May the LORD fulfill his promise.” So the woman stayed and nursed her son until she had weaned him.

Elkanah her husband said to her,“ Do what seems good to you. Wait until you have weaned him; only may Yahweh establish his word.” So the woman waited and nursed her son until she weaned him.

Now, LORD God, fulfill the promise forever that you have made to your servant and his house. Do as you have promised,

Woe to pregnant women and nursing mothers in those days!

Eli responded,“ Go in peace, and may the God of Israel grant the request you’ve made of him.”

who confirms the message of his servant and fulfills the counsel of his messengers; who says to Jerusalem,“ She will be inhabited,” and to the cities of Judah,“ They will be rebuilt,” and I will restore her ruins;

and her husband hears about it and says nothing to her when he finds out, her vows are binding, and the obligations she put herself under are binding.But if her husband prohibits her when he hears about it, he will cancel her vow that is binding or the rash commitment she herself made, and the LORD will release her.“ Every vow a widow or divorced woman puts herself under is binding on her.“ If a woman in her husband’s house has made a vow or put herself under an obligation with an oath,and her husband hears about it, says nothing to her, and does not prohibit her, all her vows are binding, and every obligation she put herself under is binding.

As he was saying these things, a woman from the crowd raised her voice and said to him,“ Blessed is the womb that bore you and the one who nursed you!”

It was you who brought me out of the womb, making me secure at my mother’s breast.

She also said,“ Who would have told Abraham that Sarah would nurse children? Yet I have borne a son for him in his old age.”The child grew and was weaned, and Abraham held a great feast on the day Isaac was weaned.
