Early the next morning they arose and worshiped before the Lord and then went back to their home at Ramah. Elkanah made love to his wife Hannah, and the Lord remembered her.

The entire family got up early the next morning and went to worship the Lord once more. Then they returned home to Ramah. When Elkanah slept with Hannah, the Lord remembered her plea,

以法蓮山地的拉瑪-瑣非有一個人名叫以利加拿；他是耶羅罕的兒子，耶羅罕是以利戶的兒子，以利戶是托戶的兒子，托戶是以法蓮人蘇弗的兒子。

我在黎明前起來呼救，我期盼你的話語。

以利加拿一行回拉瑪自己的家去了，而那孩子留在祭司以利面前事奉耶和華。

傍晚、清晨、正午，我都要悲訴哀鳴，他必垂聽我的聲音。

他在我們卑微的時候記念我們，因他的慈愛永遠長存！

他接著說：「耶穌啊，你進了你國度的時候，求你記念我。」

不要記念我年幼時的罪惡和我的過犯；耶和華啊，求你因著你的美善，按著你的慈愛記念我！

神記念挪亞以及與他一起在方舟裡的所有活物和牲畜。神使風吹過大地，水就開始退落。

耶和華啊，清晨你必聽我的聲音，清晨我向你陳明心意，切切守望！

次日他們早早起來；黎明來臨的時候，撒母耳呼喚屋頂上的掃羅說：「起來吧，我送你走。」掃羅就起來，他和撒母耳兩人出發往外去。
