She said,“ May I, your servant, find favor in your sight.” So the woman went her way and got something to eat. Her face no longer looked sad.

哈娜说：“愿你的婢女在你眼前蒙恩。”然后她就离开了；她吃了饭，脸上不再有愁容。

婦曰、願沾爾恩、遂往而食、不復有憂容、

曰、願沾爾恩。婦遂往食、憂容頓釋。

She said,“ May your servant find favor in your eyes.” Then she went her way and ate something, and her face was no longer downcast.

She said,“ May you be pleased with me.” Then she left and had something to eat. Her face wasn’t sad anymore.

And she said,“ Let your servant find favor in your eyes.” Then the woman went her way and ate, and her face was no longer sad.

“ Oh, thank you, sir!” she exclaimed. Then she went back and began to eat again, and she was no longer sad.

“ May your servant find favor with you,” she replied. Then Hannah went on her way; she ate and no longer looked despondent.

She said,“ Let your bond servant find favor in your sight.” So the woman went on her way and ate, and her face was no longer sad.

And she said,“ Let your maidservant find favor in your sight.” So the woman went her way and ate, and her face was no longer sad.

And she said, Let thy handmaid find favor in thy sight. So the woman went her way, and did eat; and her countenance was no more sad.

“ May your servant find favor with you,” she replied. Then Hannah went on her way; she ate and no longer looked despondent.

And she said, Let thine handmaid find grace in thy sight. So the woman went her way, and did eat, and her countenance was no more[ sad].

She said,“ Let your servant find favor in your sight.” So the woman went her way and ate; and her facial expression wasn’t sad any more.

She said,“ You really are being kind to me, sir, for you have reassured and encouraged me, your servant, even though I am not one of your servants!”

Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you believe in him, so that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Go, eat your food with joy, and drink your wine with a happy heart, because God has already approved your works.

So Esau said,“ Let me leave some of my men with you.”“ Why do that?” Jacob replied.“ My lord has already been kind enough to me.”

Do not be anxious about anything. Instead, in every situation, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, tell your requests to God.And the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive it, so that your joy may be complete.

I have oxen, donkeys, sheep, and male and female servants. I have sent this message to inform my lord, so that I may find favor in your sight.’”

Esau then asked,“ What did you intend by sending all these herds to meet me?” Jacob replied,“ To find favor in your sight, my lord.”
