已死之人、曾聞福音、其身為人所害、其神為上帝所救、

是以福音亦傳於死者、使其身按世人受審、審或作刑靈魂賴天主得生、使其身按世人受審靈魂賴天主得生原文作使其以身受審判依人以神得生依天主

且已亡之人、亦何為能聞福音乎？蓋使若輩身雖因人而死、靈則得以托主而生耳。

For this is the reason the gospel was preached even to those who are now dead, so that they might be judged according to human standards in regard to the body, but live according to God in regard to the spirit.

That’s why the good news was preached even to people who are now dead. It was preached to them for two reasons. It was preached so that their bodies might be judged. This judgment is made by human standards. But the good news was also preached so that their spirits might live. This life comes by means of God’s power.

For this is why the gospel was preached even to those who are dead, that though judged in the flesh the way people are, they might live in the spirit the way God does.

That is why the Good News was preached to those who are now dead— so although they were destined to die like all people, they now live forever with God in the Spirit.

For this reason the gospel was also preached to those who are now dead, so that, although they might be judged in the flesh according to human standards, they might live in the spirit according to God’s standards.

因為聖靈的生命法則，在基督耶穌裡把你從罪和死的法則中釋放了出來。

其實，我們從前也是無知、悖逆、被迷惑的，做各種欲望和享樂的奴僕，活在惡毒和嫉妒中，是可憎惡的，又彼此相恨。但是，當神我們救主的仁慈和他對人的愛顯明的時候，他拯救了我們；這不是本於我們所做的義行，而是照著他的憐憫，藉著重生的洗滌和聖靈的更新。神藉著我們的救主耶穌基督，將聖靈豐豐富富地傾注在我們身上，使我們藉著他的恩典被稱為義，可以照著永恆生命的盼望成為繼承人。

我們從前也都生活在他們中間，生活在自己肉體的欲望裡，行肉體和意念所願的事。我們正如其他人，生來也是震怒之下的兒女。不過神有豐富的憐憫，因著他愛我們的大愛，甚至當我們還死在過犯中的時候，就使我們與基督一同活過來——你們得救是藉著恩典！

但既然神的靈真是住在你們裡面，你們就不屬於肉體，而屬於聖靈了。不過如果有人沒有基督的靈，這個人就不屬於基督了。但如果基督在你們裡面，那麼，你們的身體雖然因罪是死的，靈卻因義是活的；不但如此，使耶穌從死人中復活的那一位——他的靈如果住在你們裡面，那麼，使基督從死人中復活的那一位，也將藉著住在你們裡面的聖靈，使你們會死的身體得著生命。

藉著靈，他也曾去傳道給那些被監禁的靈魂，

「我確確實實地告訴你們：時候就要到了，現在就是了！當死人聽見神兒子的聲音時，聽到的人就將活了。原來，父怎樣在自己裡面有生命，也照樣使子在自己裡面有生命；

所以，基督既然在肉身上受過苦，你們也應該以同樣的心志裝備自己，因為那在肉身上受過苦的，就已經與罪斷絕了，以致不再順著人的欲望，而是順著神的旨意，在世上度餘下的時間。

但如果我們省察自己，就不會受懲罰；即使我們受懲罰，也是在受主的管教，免得我們和這世界一同被定罪。

我們既然藉著聖靈而活，就讓我們靠著聖靈行走。

「那時，他們將要出賣你們，使你們受患難，甚至殺害你們。為了我的名，你們將被萬民憎恨。

另一位天使從祭壇那裡出來，是有權柄統管火的；他對那位拿著鋒利鐮刀的大聲呼喚說：「伸出你那鋒利的鐮刀，收取地上葡萄樹累累的果子吧！因為葡萄已經熟了。」

原來藉著律法，我已經向律法死了，使我能向神活著。我已經和基督一起被釘十字架，
