是以福音曾宣於死者、使其身如人而受鞫、其靈依上帝而得生、○

已死之人、曾聞福音、其身為人所害、其神為上帝所救、

是以福音亦傳於死者、使其身按世人受審、審或作刑靈魂賴天主得生、使其身按世人受審靈魂賴天主得生原文作使其以身受審判依人以神得生依天主

且已亡之人、亦何為能聞福音乎？蓋使若輩身雖因人而死、靈則得以托主而生耳。

For this is the reason the gospel was preached even to those who are now dead, so that they might be judged according to human standards in regard to the body, but live according to God in regard to the spirit.

That’s why the good news was preached even to people who are now dead. It was preached to them for two reasons. It was preached so that their bodies might be judged. This judgment is made by human standards. But the good news was also preached so that their spirits might live. This life comes by means of God’s power.

For this is why the gospel was preached even to those who are dead, that though judged in the flesh the way people are, they might live in the spirit the way God does.

That is why the Good News was preached to those who are now dead— so although they were destined to die like all people, they now live forever with God in the Spirit.

For this reason the gospel was also preached to those who are now dead, so that, although they might be judged in the flesh according to human standards, they might live in the spirit according to God’s standards.

For the gospel has for this purpose been preached even to those who are dead, that though they are judged in the flesh as people, they may live in the spirit according to the will of God.

因為賜人生命之聖靈的律已經在基督耶穌裡使我獲得自由，脫離了罪與死的律。

從前我們也愚蠢、悖逆、易受迷惑，受各種私慾和享樂的驅使，心裡充滿了嫉妒和惡念，令人憎惡，也彼此憎恨。但我們的救主上帝向人彰顯了祂的恩慈和仁愛，藉著重生之洗和聖靈的更新拯救了我們，這並非因為我們有義行，而是因為祂的憐憫。上帝藉著我們的救主耶穌基督把聖靈豐豐富富地澆灌在我們身上。這樣，我們既然靠著祂的恩典而被稱為義人，就可以成為後嗣，有永生的盼望。

我們以前也在他們當中隨從罪惡的本性，放縱肉體和心中的私慾，與其他人一樣本是惹上帝發怒的人。然而上帝有豐富的憐憫，祂深愛我們，儘管我們死在過犯之中，祂仍然使我們和基督一同活了過來。你們得救是因為上帝的恩典。

但如果上帝的靈住在你們裡面，你們就不再受制於罪惡的本性，而是受聖靈管理。人若沒有基督的靈，就不屬於基督。如果基督在你們裡面，你們的身體雖然因罪惡而死亡，靈魂卻因上帝所賜的義而活著。如果使耶穌復活之上帝的靈住在你們裡面，叫基督耶穌從死裡復活的上帝，必藉著住在你們裡面的聖靈，使你們終有一死的身體活過來。

祂還藉著聖靈向那些監獄中的靈魂傳道，

我實實在在地告訴你們，時候快到了，現在就是，死人將聽見上帝兒子的聲音，聽見的將存活。因為正如父自己是生命的源頭，祂也同樣讓子作生命的源頭，

既然基督曾在肉身上為你們受苦，你們也要懷著同樣的心志，因為肉體受過苦的人已經與罪斷絕了關係，可以在今後的生活中不再隨從人的私慾，只服從上帝的旨意。

如果我們先自我省察，就不會遭受審判了。主審判我們，是對我們的管教，免得我們和世人一同被定罪。

如果我們是靠聖靈生活，就當凡事順從聖靈的引導。

「那時，你們將遭人迫害、殺害，並因我的名而被萬民憎恨。

又有一位掌管烈火的天使從祭壇那裡出來，對手拿鐮刀的天使高喊：「揮動你鋒利的鐮刀，收取地上葡萄樹的果實吧！它們已經熟透了。」

事實上，我因無法滿足律法的要求而向律法死了，不再受它的束縛，使我可以為上帝而活。
