爾等若果因基督之名而受唾罵、福莫大焉！蓋誠能如此、則光榮大能之聖神、天主之聖神、以爾為安宅矣。

If you are insulted because of the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you.

Suppose people say bad things about you because you believe in Christ. Then you are blessed, because God’s Spirit rests on you. He is the Spirit of glory.

我為基督、以荏弱、凌辱、空乏、窘逐、阨窮為喜、蓋我弱時則強焉、○

耶和華歟、爾敵所加之辱、即辱爾受膏者之行蹤兮、○

恆忍者、謂之有福、約伯之忍、爾聞之矣、主究竟如何、爾見之矣、蓋主極其慈悲矜恤也、○

諳悉公義、服膺我法之民、尚其聽予、勿畏人侮、勿懼人毀、

眾曰、爾通體生於罪中、反教我乎、遂逐之、○

於異邦宜正爾行、使素謗爾為惡者見之、則榮上帝於眷顧之日、

耶和華乘雲降臨、與摩西言、以感摩西之神、賦於長老、既已賦之、則感神而言、厥後不復如此、所錄者中有二人、一名伊利達、一名米達、仍居於營、未適會幕、神既賦之、則在營中感神而言、

猶太人敵而謗之、保羅拂衣曰、爾血歸諸爾、我無尤焉、今而後我就異邦人矣、

爾之羣臣、爾之眾僕、恆侍爾前、聞爾智慧、其有福矣、

眾詬之曰、爾乃其徒、我儕摩西徒也、

以為緣基督受辱、富於埃及所有之財貨、望賞賚故也、

其過得宥、其罪得掩、斯人其有福兮、其心無詐、耶和華不以為有罪、斯人其有福兮、

居耶利哥之先知徒望見之、則曰、以利亞之神臨以利沙矣、遂來迎之、伏於其前、

在主降臨時、於諸聖者而得榮、於諸信者而見異、蓋我所證於爾者、爾已信之、故我恆為爾祈禱、俾我上帝鑒爾、克稱其召、以能而成爾由善諸願、由信諸工、致我主耶穌之名、於爾得榮、而爾於彼亦然、依我上帝及主耶穌基督之恩也、

猶太人曰、我言爾為撒瑪利亞人、且患鬼、豈不然乎、

法利賽人曰、爾亦為所惑乎、有司與法利賽人、有信之者乎、但此眾不識律、見詛矣、中有尼哥底母即昔詣耶穌者、謂之曰、未聽其言、不識其所為、而鞫之、豈我律乎、眾曰、爾亦出自加利利乎、可考而知、無先知自加利利起也、○

如是、爾之光亦當照乎人前、俾人見爾善行、榮爾在天之父焉、○

因我而榮上帝焉、

彼見爾不同其流蕩無度、則異而謗之、若輩必自陳於鞫生者死者之主、

將有多人從其淫妄、真道因之而受謗、

耶和華之神必臨之、即智慧明哲之神、謀畧才能之神、知識與寅畏耶和華之神也、
