而要有蕴藏在人内心不衰退的美，以温柔娴静的心妆饰自己；这在上帝面前是极宝贵的。

要以温柔、娴静这些永不褪色的内在美为妆饰，这是上帝所看重的。

却要在里面存着温柔安静的心灵，作不能毁坏的装饰，这在神面前是极宝贵的。

而应该是心里面内在的人，带着不朽坏的品性，出于谦和、安静的灵；这在神面前是极其贵重的。

只要以裏面存着長久溫柔、安靜的心為妝飾；這在神面前是極寶貴的。

而要有蘊藏在人內心不衰退的美，以溫柔嫻靜的心妝飾自己；這在上帝面前是極寶貴的。

而要有蘊藏在人內心不衰退的美，以溫柔嫻靜的心妝飾自己；這在神面前是極寶貴的。

要以溫柔、嫺靜這些永不褪色的內在美為妝飾，這是上帝所看重的。

卻要在裡面存著溫柔安靜的心靈，作不能毀壞的裝飾，這在神面前是極寶貴的。

乃應當是內心隱藏着的人、以柔和安靜的心靈為不朽壞的妝飾：這在上帝面前是很貴的。

而應該是心裡面內在的人，帶著不朽壞的品性，出於謙和、安靜的靈；這在神面前是極其貴重的。

乃在溫柔恬靜之性、隱之於心、不可壞者、此在上帝前為至寶、

惟以藏於心不可壞之善德、即溫和恬靜之性為飾、此在天主前為寶也、

惟修養內心、以溫柔嫻靜之精神為飾、則可大可久、天主所珍也。

Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.

Instead, your beauty comes from inside you. It is the beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit. Beauty like this doesn’t fade away. God places great value on it.

but let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God’s sight is very precious.

You should clothe yourselves instead with the beauty that comes from within, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is so precious to God.

爾惟潔淨、為上帝所選所愛之民、故當矜憫、仁慈、謙讓、溫柔、忍耐、

隱為猶太人、則誠猶太人、心受割禮、則誠受割、蓋在內心、不在虛文、其令聞非由人、乃由上帝、

我中心悅上帝法、

爾中若有睿智特識、則必以溫柔智慧、彰其善行、如心懷嫉狠忿戾、則勿自矜、冒稱真理、此智非由上來、乃屬斯世、血氣所激、魔鬼所迷、有媢嫉、爭鬥、則必作亂、行惡貫盈、由上之智、即廉潔、和平、溫良、寛恕、恆存矜恤善行、絕諸偏視偽為、

謙讓、溫柔、忍耐、仁恕、

心畏主上帝、有人詰爾所望伊何、爾言當前定、而後以溫柔畏懼答之、

不知潔其外者、亦必潔其內、無知者乎、

逆理者、迪以柔和、庶上帝錫以悛心、俾識真理、

道栽培於心、祗承以救爾魂、

后居宮閫、尊榮莫加、衣以金織、縱橫相間兮。

以前此私欲溺志、則革其故態、心神更新、效上帝以義以潔所造之新人、

亦為諸王暨上位者求、俾我儕虔敬端莊、綏安無事、以畢一生、

維馬有力、人能疾趨、主不以為悅兮、敬畏耶和華、賴其仁慈者、則可見悅於主兮。

我賴主耶穌基督勸諭之、宜恬靜、各事其事、而食其食、

猶大王西底家往巴比倫、內侍馬西雅孫、尼利雅子西勑亞扈、從西底家王四年、先知耶利米以巴比倫所遘之災、筆之於書。

爾所托以重生者、非可敝之道、乃永生上帝常存不敝之道、

中心真實、爾所悅懌、予求於爾、以智慧畀我衷曲兮。

溫柔、操節、為此者非法所能禁、

我永生之主、至聖至高、居聖所、坐高位、凡謙卑遜順者、我與偕居、活潑其心神、暢快其意志。

困乏之民、崇事以色列族之聖主耶和華、欣然歡樂、較勝於昔、

余保羅、即之也溫、望之儼然、學基督之溫柔寛裕勸爾、

耶穌曰、爾在人前以義自稱、爾之心、上帝知之、蓋人所崇者、上帝所惡也、

溫柔者福矣、以其將得土也、

耶和華兮、貧乏者扶祐之、作惡者傾覆之兮。

蓋爾猶死、而生命與基督共藏於上帝、

余緘默無詞、若嬰孩斷乳、歷時已久、不思乳哺兮、

為困乏與謙遜之人聽訟、秉公行義、作惡者流、必遭箠楚、以辭氣滅之、

告郇之女、爾王臨至、溫柔而乘驢、及驢之小者、即引重之子也、

蓋自知吾故態、與之釘死、滅厥罪狀、使我不復為罪所役、

彼此毋偽、革其故態、煥然一新、象創造者、日新而智廣、
