Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of mankind was great on the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of their hearts was only evil continually.

and did not spare the ancient world, but protected Noah, a preacher of righteousness, with seven others, when He brought a flood upon the world of the ungodly;

So Noah went out, and his sons and his wife, and his sons’ wives with him.

Then the flood came upon the earth for forty days, and the water increased and lifted up the ark, so that it rose above the earth.The water prevailed and increased greatly upon the earth, and the ark floated on the surface of the water.And the water prevailed more and more upon the earth, so that all the high mountains everywhere under the heavens were covered.The water prevailed fifteen cubits higher, and the mountains were covered.So all creatures that moved on the earth perished: birds, livestock, animals, and every swarming thing that swarms upon the earth, and all mankind;of all that was on the dry land, all in whose nostrils was the breath of the spirit of life, died.So He wiped out every living thing that was upon the face of the land, from mankind to animals, to crawling things, and the birds of the sky, and they were wiped out from the earth; and only Noah was left, together with those that were with him in the ark.

Or do you think lightly of the riches of His kindness and restraint and patience, not knowing that the kindness of God leads you to repentance?But because of your stubbornness and unrepentant heart you are storing up wrath for yourself on the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God,

“ Strive to enter through the narrow door; for many, I tell you, will seek to enter and will not be able.Once the head of the house gets up and shuts the door, and you begin standing outside and knocking on the door, saying,‘ Lord, open up to us!’ and He then will answer and say to you,‘ I do not know where you are from.’

so that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word,

Then God said to Noah,“ The end of humanity has come before Me; for the earth is filled with violence because of people; and behold, I am about to destroy them with the earth.Make for yourself an ark of gopher wood; you shall make the ark with compartments, and cover it inside and out with pitch.This is how you shall make it: the length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, its width fifty cubits, and its height thirty cubits.You shall make a window for the ark, and finish it to a cubit from the top; and put the door of the ark on the side; you shall make it with lower, second, and third decks.Now behold, I Myself am bringing the flood of water upon the earth, to destroy all flesh in which there is the breath of life, from under heaven; everything that is on the earth shall perish.But I will establish My covenant with you; and you shall enter the ark— you, your sons, your wife, and your sons’ wives with you.And of every living thing of all flesh, you shall bring two of every kind into the ark, to keep them alive with you; they shall be male and female.Of the birds according to their kind, and of the animals according to their kind, of every crawling thing of the ground according to its kind, two of every kind will come to you to keep them alive.As for you, take for yourself some of every food that is edible, and gather it to yourself; and it shall be food for you and them.”So Noah did these things; according to everything that God had commanded him, so he did.Then the Lord said to Noah,“ Enter the ark, you and all your household, for you alone I have seen to be righteous before Me in this generation.You shall take with you seven pairs of every clean animal, a male and his female; and two of the animals that are not clean, a male and his female;also of the birds of the sky, seven pairs, male and female, to keep their offspring alive on the face of all the earth.For after seven more days, I will send rain on the earth for forty days and forty nights; and I will wipe out from the face of the land every living thing that I have made.”So Noah acted in accordance with everything that the Lord had commanded him.Now Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of water came upon the earth.Then Noah and his sons, his wife, and his sons’ wives with him entered the ark because of the waters of the flood.

For the gate is narrow and the way is constricted that leads to life, and there are few who find it.

What if God, although willing to demonstrate His wrath and to make His power known, endured with great patience objects of wrath prepared for destruction?

On this very same day Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah’s wife and the three wives of his sons with them, entered the ark,

Therefore the Lord longs to be gracious to you, And therefore He waits on high to have compassion on you. For the Lord is a God of justice; How blessed are all those who long for Him.

And just as it happened in the days of Noah, so will it also be in the days of the Son of Man:people were eating, they were drinking, they were marrying, and they were being given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all.It was the same as happened in the days of Lot: they were eating, they were drinking, they were buying, they were selling, they were planting, and they were building;but on the day that Lot left Sodom, it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all.It will be just the same on the day that the Son of Man is revealed.

For the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah.For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark,and they did not understand until the flood came and took them all away; so will the coming of the Son of Man be.

and regard the patience of our Lord as salvation; just as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given him, wrote to you,

But God remembered Noah and all the animals and all the livestock that were with him in the ark; and God caused a wind to pass over the earth, and the water subsided.

Do not be afraid, little flock, because your Father has chosen to give you the kingdom.

For we are a fragrance of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing:to the one an aroma from death to death, to the other an aroma from life to life. And who is adequate for these things?
