For while we were yet weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.For one will hardly die for a righteous man. Yet perhaps for a righteous person someone would even dare to die.But God commends his own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written,“ Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree,”

who was delivered up for our trespasses, and was raised for our justification.

You, being in past times alienated and enemies in your mind in your evil deeds,yet now he has reconciled in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and without defect and blameless before him,

and might reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross, having killed the hostility through it.He came and preached peace to you who were far off and to those who were near.For through him we both have our access in one Spirit to the Father.

For you were called to this, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving you an example, that you should follow his steps,who didn’t sin,“ neither was deceit found in his mouth.”When he was cursed, he didn’t curse back. When he suffered, he didn’t threaten, but committed himself to him who judges righteously.He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live to righteousness. You were healed by his wounds.

But you denied the Holy and Righteous One and asked for a murderer to be granted to you,

who was declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the Spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord,

You have condemned and you have murdered the righteous one. He doesn’t resist you.

While he was sitting on the judgment seat, his wife sent to him, saying,“ Have nothing to do with that righteous man, for I have suffered many things today in a dream because of him.”

But if the Spirit of him who raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised up Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.

through whom we also have our access by faith into this grace in which we stand. We rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

He said,‘ The God of our fathers has appointed you to know his will, and to see the Righteous One, and to hear a voice from his mouth.

Rejoice greatly, daughter of Zion! Shout, daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your King comes to you! He is righteous, and having salvation; lowly, and riding on a donkey, even on a colt, the foal of a donkey.

After the sixty- two weeks the Anointed One will be cut off, and will have nothing. The people of the prince who come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. Its end will be with a flood, and war will be even to the end. Desolations are determined.

We don’t control your faith, but are fellow workers with you for your joy. For you stand firm in faith.

So when Pilate saw that nothing was being gained, but rather that a disturbance was starting, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying,“ I am innocent of the blood of this righteous person. You see to it.”
