即使為善而茹苦、亦屬可慶。人之威脅、不足畏也。

But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed.“ Do not fear their threats; do not be frightened.”

But suppose you do suffer for doing what is right. Even then you will be blessed. Scripture says,“ Don’t fear what others say they will do to hurt you. Don’t be afraid.”( Isaiah 8:12)

But even if you suffer for doing what is right, God will reward you for it. So don’t worry or be afraid of their threats.

For it is commendable if someone bears up under the pain of unjust suffering because they are conscious of God.But how is it to your credit if you receive a beating for doing wrong and endure it? But if you suffer for doing good and you endure it, this is commendable before God. (niv)

“ Do not call conspiracy everything this people calls a conspiracy; do not fear what they fear, and do not dread it.The Lord Almighty is the one you are to regard as holy, he is the one you are to fear, he is the one you are to dread. (niv)

Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell. (niv)

Blessed are you when people hate you, when they exclude you and insult you and reject your name as evil, because of the Son of Man.“ Rejoice in that day and leap for joy, because great is your reward in heaven. For that is how their ancestors treated the prophets. (niv)

But rejoice inasmuch as you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed.If you are insulted because of the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you.If you suffer, it should not be as a murderer or thief or any other kind of criminal, or even as a meddler.However, if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name.
