But and if ye suffer for righteousness’ sake, happy[ are ye]: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled;

But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed.“ Do not fear their threats; do not be frightened.”

But suppose you do suffer for doing what is right. Even then you will be blessed. Scripture says,“ Don’t fear what others say they will do to hurt you. Don’t be afraid.”( Isaiah 8:12)

But even if you suffer for doing what is right, God will reward you for it. So don’t worry or be afraid of their threats.

Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel’s,

But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy[ are ye]; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or[ as] a thief, or[ as] an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men’s matters.Yet if[ any man suffer] as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.

Blessed[ is] the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.

Even as Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: whose daughters ye are, as long as ye do well, and are not afraid with any amazement.

Then spake the Lord to Paul in the night by a vision, Be not afraid, but speak, and hold not thy peace:For I am with thee, and no man shall set on thee to hurt thee: for I have much people in this city.

Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.

For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel’s, the same shall save it.

O LORD, thou knowest: remember me, and visit me, and revenge me of my persecutors; take me not away in thy longsuffering: know that for thy sake I have suffered rebuke.
