若因義受苦、則福矣、勿畏其威、勿為所撼、

緣義受害、必蒙綏祉、人有危言、勿憂勿懼、

爾若為義受苦、乃為有福、人威嚇爾、勿畏勿懼、

即使為善而茹苦、亦屬可慶。人之威脅、不足畏也。

But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed.“ Do not fear their threats; do not be frightened.”

But suppose you do suffer for doing what is right. Even then you will be blessed. Scripture says,“ Don’t fear what others say they will do to hurt you. Don’t be afraid.”( Isaiah 8:12)

But even if you should suffer for righteousness’ sake, you will be blessed. Have no fear of them, nor be troubled,

But even if you suffer for doing what is right, God will reward you for it. So don’t worry or be afraid of their threats.

But in fact, if you happen to suffer for doing what is right, you are blessed. But do not be terrified of them or be shaken.

For it brings favor if, mindful of God’s will, someone endures grief from suffering unjustly.For what credit is there if you sin and are punished, and you endure it? But when you do what is good and suffer, if you endure it, this brings favor with God.

Do not call everything an alliance these people say is an alliance. Do not fear what they fear; do not be terrified.You are to regard only the Lord of Hosts as holy. Only He should be feared; only He should be held in awe.

Don’t fear those who kill the body but are not able to kill the soul; rather, fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

You are blessed when people hate you, when they exclude you, insult you, and slander your name as evil because of the Son of Man.“ Rejoice in that day and leap for joy! Take note— your reward is great in heaven, for this is the way their ancestors used to treat the prophets.

Those who are persecuted for righteousness are blessed, for the kingdom of heaven is theirs.“ You are blessed when they insult and persecute you and falsely say every kind of evil against you because of Me.Be glad and rejoice, because your reward is great in heaven. For that is how they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

“ Your heart must not be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in Me.

“ I assure you,” Jesus said,“ there is no one who has left house, brothers or sisters, mother or father, children, or fields because of Me and the gospel,

Instead, rejoice as you share in the sufferings of the Messiah, so that you may also rejoice with great joy at the revelation of His glory.If you are ridiculed for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you.None of you, however, should suffer as a murderer, a thief, an evildoer, or a meddler.But if anyone suffers as a“ Christian,” he should not be ashamed but should glorify God in having that name.

“ Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Your heart must not be troubled or fearful.

Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will hold on to you with My righteous right hand.Be sure that all who are enraged against you will be ashamed and disgraced; those who contend with you will become as nothing and will perish.You will look for those who contend with you, but you will not find them. Those who war against you will become absolutely nothing.For I, Yahweh your God, hold your right hand and say to you: Do not fear, I will help you.Do not fear, you worm Jacob, you men of Israel: I will help you— this is the Lord’s declaration. Your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel.

For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life because of Me will find it.

So I take pleasure in weaknesses, insults, catastrophes, persecutions, and in pressures, because of Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Do not be afraid of anyone, for I will be with you to deliver you. This is the Lord’s declaration.

Anyone finding his life will lose it, and anyone losing his life because of Me will find it.

I— I am the One who comforts you. Who are you that you should fear man who dies, or a son of man who is given up like grass?

And everyone who has left houses, brothers or sisters, father or mother, children, or fields because of My name will receive 100 times more and will inherit eternal life.

A man who endures trials is blessed, because when he passes the test he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love Him.

just as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord. You have become her children when you do what is good and are not frightened by anything alarming.

“ And I say to you, My friends, don’t fear those who kill the body, and after that can do nothing more.But I will show you the One to fear: Fear Him who has authority to throw people into hell after death. Yes, I say to you, this is the One to fear!

For it has been given to you on Christ’s behalf not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for Him,

I have made your forehead like a diamond, harder than flint. Don’t be afraid of them or discouraged by the look on their faces, even though they are a rebellious house.”

I will show him how much he must suffer for My name!”

You will even be brought before governors and kings because of Me, to bear witness to them and to the nations.But when they hand you over, don’t worry about how or what you should speak. For you will be given what to say at that hour,because you are not speaking, but the Spirit of your Father is speaking through you.“ Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child. Children will even rise up against their parents and have them put to death.You will be hated by everyone because of My name. But the one who endures to the end will be delivered.

Then the Lord said to Paul in a night vision,“ Don’t be afraid, but keep on speaking and don’t be silent.For I am with you, and no one will lay a hand on you to hurt you, because I have many people in this city.”

So don’t be afraid therefore; you are worth more than many sparrows.

For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life because of Me and the gospel will save it.

You know, Lord; remember me and take note of me. Avenge me against my persecutors. In Your patience, don’t take me away. Know that I suffer disgrace for Your honor.
