Wives, follow the lead of your own husbands. Suppose some of them don’t believe God’s word. Then let them be won to Christ without words by seeing how their wives behave.

你们作妻子的要顺服自己的丈夫；这样，若有不信从道理的丈夫，他们虽然不听道，也可以因妻子的品行被感化过来；

同样，你们作妻子的，要顺服自己的丈夫，这样，即使有不信从道理的丈夫，也会因妻子的品行，并非言语，而感化过来，

同样，你们作妻子的，要顺服自己的丈夫，这样，即使有不信从道理的丈夫，也会因妻子的品行，并非言语，而感化过来，

照样，做妻子的要顺服丈夫。这样，即使丈夫不信从真道，也会因为看见妻子贞洁和敬虔的品行而被无声地感化。

為婦者、宜服爾夫、或夫不從道、致外乎道、由婦所行、亦可得之、

婦當順夫、如有夫不從教、見婦所為、雖無人勸勉、亦得歸道、

婦歟、爾當順爾夫、如是、倘有不信道之夫、雖無勸勉、亦可緣婦之所行、隨感而歸道、

為婦者應順服其夫、夫即不信聖道、亦當以平日行為感化之不必徒騰口說也。

Wives, in the same way submit yourselves to your own husbands so that, if any of them do not believe the word, they may be won over without words by the behavior of their wives,

Wives, likewise, be submissive to your own husbands, that even if some do not obey the word, they, without a word, may be won by the conduct of their wives,

In like manner, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, even if any obey not the word, they may without the word be gained by the behavior of their wives;

In the same way, wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands so that, even if some disobey the Christian message, they may be won over without a message by the way their wives live

Wives, follow the lead of your husbands. That’s what the Lord wants you to do.

Wife, how do you know if you will save your husband? Husband, how do you know if you will save your wife?

But I want you to know that the head of every man is Christ. The head of the woman is the man. And the head of Christ is God.

In the same way, teach the older women to lead a holy life. They must not tell lies about others. They must not let wine control them. Instead, they must teach what is good.Then they can advise the younger women to love their husbands and children.The younger women must control themselves and be pure. They must take good care of their homes. They must be kind. They must follow the lead of their husbands. Then no one will be able to speak evil things against God’s word.In the same way, help the young men to control themselves.

A husband also must love his wife. He must love her just as he loves himself. And a wife must respect her husband.

The Lord God said to the woman,“ I will increase your pain when you give birth. You will be in great pain when you have children. You will long for your husband. And he will rule over you.”

Wives, follow the lead of your own husbands as you follow the Lord.The husband is the head of the wife, just as Christ is the head of the church. The church is Christ’s body. He is its Savior.The church follows the lead of Christ. In the same way, wives should follow the lead of their husbands in everything.

Then Memukan gave a reply to the king and the nobles. He said,“ Queen Vashti has done what is wrong. But she didn’t do it only against you, King Xerxes. She did it also against all the nobles. And she did it against the people in all the territories you rule over.All the women will hear about what the queen has done. Then they won’t respect their husbands. They’ll say,‘ King Xerxes commanded Queen Vashti to be brought to him. But she wouldn’t come.’Here is what will start today. The leading women in Persia and Media who have heard about the queen’s actions will act in the same way. They’ll disobey all your nobles, just as she disobeyed you. They won’t have any respect for their husbands. They won’t honor them.“ So if it pleases you, send out a royal order. Let it be written down in the laws of Persia and Media. Those laws can never be changed. Let the royal order say that Vashti can never see you again. Also let her position as queen be given to someone who is better than she is.And let your order be announced all through your entire kingdom. Then all women will have respect for their husbands, from the least important to the most important.”

I am free and don’t belong to anyone. But I have made myself a slave to everyone. I do it to win as many as I can to Christ.To the Jews I became like a Jew. That was to win the Jews. To those under the law I became like one who was under the law. I did this even though I myself am not under the law. That was to win those under the law.To those who don’t have the law I became like one who doesn’t have the law. I did this even though I am not free from God’s law. I am under Christ’s law. Now I can win those who don’t have the law.To those who are weak I became weak. That was to win the weak. I have become all things to all people. I have done this so that in all possible ways I might save some.

For example, by law a married woman remains married as long as her husband lives. But suppose her husband dies. Then the law that joins her to him no longer applies.

Husbands, consider the needs of your wives. They are weaker than you. So treat them with respect. Honor them as those who will share with you the gracious gift of life. Then nothing will stand in the way of your prayers.

When a woman is learning, she should be quiet. She should follow her leaders in every way.I do not let women teach or take authority over a man. They must be quiet.

Women should remain silent in church meetings. They are not allowed to speak. They must follow the lead of those who are in authority, as the law says.

My brothers and sisters, suppose one of you wanders away from the truth. And suppose someone brings that person back.Then here is what I want you to remember. Anyone who keeps a sinner from going astray will save them from death. God will erase many sins by forgiving them.

“ If your brother or sister sins against you, go to them. Tell them what they did wrong. Keep it between the two of you. If they listen to you, you have won them back.

Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders. Make the most of every opportunity.

Abraham had faith. So he obeyed God. God called him to go to a place he would later receive as his own. So he went. He did it even though he didn’t know where he was going.

He will punish those who don’t know God. He will punish those who don’t obey the good news about our Lord Jesus.

You have made yourselves pure by obeying the truth. So you have an honest and true love for each other. So love one another deeply, from your hearts.

A broken friendship is harder to handle than a city with high walls around it. And arguing is like the locked gates of a mighty city.

You used to be slaves of sin. But thank God that with your whole heart you obeyed the teachings you were given!

In this way he was made perfect. Eternal salvation comes from him. He saves all those who obey him.

But not all the people of Israel accepted the good news. Isaiah says,“ Lord, who has believed our message?”( Isaiah 53:1)

It is time for judgment to begin with the household of God. And since it begins with us, what will happen to people who don’t obey God’s good news?

The fruit that godly people bear is like a tree of life. And those who are wise save lives.
