為婦者、宜服爾夫、或夫不從道、致外乎道、由婦所行、亦可得之、

婦當順夫、如有夫不從教、見婦所為、雖無人勸勉、亦得歸道、

婦歟、爾當順爾夫、如是、倘有不信道之夫、雖無勸勉、亦可緣婦之所行、隨感而歸道、

為婦者應順服其夫、夫即不信聖道、亦當以平日行為感化之不必徒騰口說也。

Wives, in the same way submit yourselves to your own husbands so that, if any of them do not believe the word, they may be won over without words by the behavior of their wives,

Wives, follow the lead of your own husbands. Suppose some of them don’t believe God’s word. Then let them be won to Christ without words by seeing how their wives behave.

Likewise, wives, be subject to your own husbands, so that even if some do not obey the word, they may be won without a word by the conduct of their wives,

In the same way, you wives must accept the authority of your husbands. Then, even if some refuse to obey the Good News, your godly lives will speak to them without any words. They will be won over

that aged women likewise be reverent in demeanor, not slanderers nor enslaved to much wine, teachers of that which is good;that they may train the young women to love their husbands, to love their children,to be sober- minded, chaste, workers at home, kind, being in subjection to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed:the younger men likewise exhort to be sober- minded:

Nevertheless do ye also severally love each one his own wife even as himself; and let the wife see that she fear her husband.

For though I was free from all men, I brought myself under bondage to all, that I might gain the more.And to the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, not being myself under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law;to them that are without law, as without law, not being without law to God, but under law to Christ, that I might gain them that are without law.To the weak I became weak, that I might gain the weak: I am become all things to all men, that I may by all means save some.

For the woman that hath a husband is bound by law to the husband while he liveth; but if the husband die, she is discharged from the law of the husband.
