因為聖經上說：「看啊，我在錫安放了一塊蒙揀選的寶貴房角石，信靠祂的人必不會蒙羞。」

蓋經有之：『我選一隅石、置之西溫上；斯石我所珍、賴之無觖望。』

For in Scripture it says:“ See, I lay a stone in Zion, a chosen and precious cornerstone, and the one who trusts in him will never be put to shame.”

In Scripture it says,“ Look! I am placing a stone in Zion. It is a chosen and very valuable stone. It is the most important stone in the building. The one who trusts in him will never be put to shame.”( Isaiah 28:16)

For it stands in Scripture:“ Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone, a cornerstone chosen and precious, and whoever believes in him will not be put to shame.”

As the Scriptures say,“ I am placing a cornerstone in Jerusalem, chosen for great honor, and anyone who trusts in him will never be disgraced.”

For this is contained in Scripture:“ Behold, I am laying in Zion a choice stone, a precious cornerstone, And the one who believes in Him will not be put to shame.”

為什麼會這樣呢？因為他們不憑信心，只靠自己的行為去追求義，結果就在那塊「絆腳石」上跌倒了。正如聖經上說：「看啊！我在錫安放了一塊絆腳石，一塊使人跌倒的磐石。但信靠祂的人必不致蒙羞。」

主是活石，雖然被人棄絕，卻被上帝揀選、視為寶貴。

你們已被建立在眾使徒和先知們的基礎上，基督耶穌自己是房角石。

房角石、帳篷的橛子、戰弓，以及所有掌權者必出自猶大。

正如聖經上說：「信靠祂的人必不致蒙羞。」

聖經上說，『工匠丟棄的石頭已成了房角石。

「不要懼怕，因為你不會再受羞辱；不要怕，因為你不會再受凌辱。你必忘記年輕時的羞辱，不再想起寡居時的恥辱。

百姓站著觀看，官長嘲笑耶穌說：「祂救了別人，如果祂是上帝所選立的基督，讓祂救自己吧！」

「看啊！我所揀選、所眷愛、所喜悅的僕人，我要將我的靈賜給祂，祂要向萬邦宣揚正義。

「看啊，我所扶持、所揀選、所喜悅的僕人，我已將我的靈賜給祂，祂必將正義帶給萬邦。

我並不覺得羞愧，因為主耶和華幫助我。我心如堅石，知道自己必不會蒙羞。

正如聖經所言，信我的人，『從他裡面要流出活水的江河來』。」

製造偶像的都必蒙羞受辱，一同慚愧。但以色列必蒙耶和華拯救，享受永遠的救恩，永遠不會再蒙羞受辱。

「看啊，向你發怒的人必抱愧蒙羞；與你為敵的人都要滅亡，歸於無有。

聖經全部是上帝啟示的，有益於教導、督責、使人歸正、培養人行義，

你曾在異象中對你忠心的子民說：「我已把力量賜給一位勇士，已擢升我在民中揀選的人。

願謀取我性命的人蒙羞受辱！願喜歡我被害的人狼狽逃竄！

他所有的書信都談到這些事。一些不學無術、反覆無常的人曲解了信中一些難懂的地方，就像曲解其他經文一樣，他們是自取滅亡。

除了你們的守護天使米迦勒以外，誰也不能幫助我抵擋他們。我來是要把記錄在真理書上的事告訴你。

「弟兄們，關於帶人抓耶穌的猶大，聖靈藉著大衛的口早已預言，這經文必須要應驗。

你們首先該知道：聖經上的一切預言都不可隨人的私意解釋，

早在創造世界以前，祂已經在基督裡揀選了我們，使我們在祂眼中成為聖潔無瑕的人。
