Christ is the living Stone. People did not accept him, but God chose him. God places the highest value on him.

主乃活石，固然是被人所弃的，却是被神所拣选、所宝贵的。

主乃靈石、為人所棄、上帝器重、而推選者、爾曹就之、

主如活石、為人所棄、為天主所選所寶者、爾曹就之、

自宜欣然就之。渠乃具有生命之磐石、世人之所擯棄、而天主之所器重也。

As you come to him, the living Stone— rejected by humans but chosen by God and precious to him—

As you come to him, a living stone rejected by men but in the sight of God chosen and precious,

You are coming to Christ, who is the living cornerstone of God’s temple. He was rejected by people, but he was chosen by God for great honor.

As you come to him, a living stone— rejected by people but chosen and honored by God—

And coming to Him as to a living stone which has been rejected by people, but is choice and precious in the sight of God,

Coming to Him as to a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God and precious,

unto whom coming, a living stone, rejected indeed of men, but with God elect, precious,

Coming to Him, a living stone— rejected by men but chosen and valuable to God—

To whom coming,[ as unto] a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God,[ and] precious,

So as you come to him, a living stone rejected by men but chosen and priceless in God’s sight,

coming to him, a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God, precious.

The stone the builders didn’t accept has become the most important stone of all.The Lord has done it. It is wonderful in our eyes.

Scripture says that Jesus is“‘ the stone you builders did not accept. But it has become the most important stone of all.’( Psalm 118:22)You can’t be saved by believing in anyone else. God has given people no other name under heaven that will save them.”

This stone is very valuable to you who believe. But to people who do not believe,“ The stone the builders did not accept has become the most important stone of all.”( Psalm 118:22)

So the Lord and King speaks. He says,“ Look! I am laying a stone in Zion. It is a stone that has been tested. It is the most important stone for a firm foundation. The one who depends on that stone will never be shaken.

Look at the stone I have put in front of Joshua! There are seven eyes on that one stone. I will carve a message on it,’ says the Lord who rules over all.‘ And I will remove the sin of this land in one day.

Jesus said to her,“ I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even if they die.And whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”

Christ is your life. When he appears again, you also will appear with him in heaven’s glory.

While you were watching, a rock was cut out. But human hands didn’t do it. It struck the statue on its feet of iron and clay. It smashed them.

I, Simon Peter, am writing this letter. I serve Jesus Christ. I am his apostle. I am sending this letter to you. You are those who have received a faith as valuable as ours. You received it because our God and Savior Jesus Christ does what is right.

Instead, you were bought with the priceless blood of Christ. He is a perfect lamb. He doesn’t have any flaws at all.

“ So nothing can stop Zerubbabel from completing the temple. Even a mountain of problems will be smoothed out by him. When the temple is finished, he will put its most important stone in place. Then the people will shout,‘ God bless it! God bless it!’ ”

Haven’t you read what this part of Scripture says,“‘ The stone the builders didn’t accept has become the most important stone of all.The Lord has done it. It is wonderful in our eyes’?”( Psalm 118:22, 23)

But you refuse to come to me and receive life.

That’s what the vision of the rock cut out of a mountain means. Human hands didn’t cut out the rock. It broke the statue to pieces. It smashed the iron, bronze, clay, silver and gold.“ The great God has shown you what will take place in days to come. The dream is true. And you can trust the meaning of it that I have explained to you.”

Jesus looked right at them and said,“ Here is something I want you to explain the meaning of. It is written,“‘ The stone the builders didn’t accept has become the most important stone of all.’( Psalm 118:22)Everyone who falls on that stone will be broken to pieces. But the stone will crush anyone it falls on.”

Once we were God’s enemies. But we have been brought back to him because his Son has died for us. Now that God has brought us back, we are even more secure. We know that we will be saved because Christ lives.

Jesus answered,“ I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

The living Father sent me, and I live because of him. In the same way, those who feed on me will live because of me.

“ You have not been faithful,” says the Lord.“ Return to me. I will heal you. Then you will not turn away from me anymore.”“ Yes,” the people say.“ We will come to you. You are the Lord our God.

Then the Lord will be a holy place of safety for you. But that’s not true for many people in Israel and Judah. He will be a stone that causes them to trip. He will be a rock that makes them fall. And for the people of Jerusalem he will be a trap and a snare.Many of them will trip. They will fall and be broken. They will be trapped and captured.”

“ Come to me, all you who are tired and are carrying heavy loads. I will give you rest.

The Father has life in himself. He has allowed the Son also to have life in himself.

Everyone the Father gives me will come to me. I will never send away anyone who comes to me.

“ Here is my servant. I have chosen him. He is the one I love. I am very pleased with him. I will put my Spirit on him. He will announce to the nations that everything will be made right.

“ Here is my servant. I take good care of him. I have chosen him. I am very pleased with him. I will put my Spirit on him. He will bring justice to the nations.

Jesus said to them,“ Haven’t you ever read what the Scriptures say,“‘ The stone the builders didn’t accept has become the most important stone of all. The Lord has done it. It is wonderful in our eyes’?( Psalm 118:22, 23)

Before long, the world will not see me anymore. But you will see me. Because I live, you will live also.

Your troubles have come in order to prove that your faith is real. Your faith is worth more than gold. That’s because gold can pass away even when fire has made it pure. Your faith is meant to bring praise, honor and glory to God. This will happen when Jesus Christ returns.

He has also given us his very great and valuable promises. He did it so you could share in his nature. You can share in it because you’ve escaped from the evil in the world. This evil is caused by sinful desires.

Listen and come to me. Pay attention to me. Then you will live. I will make a covenant with you that will last forever. I will give you my faithful love. I promised it to David.
