For it is God’s will that by doing good you should silence the ignorant talk of foolish people.

By doing good you will put a stop to the talk of foolish people. They don’t know what they are saying.

It is God’s will that your honorable lives should silence those ignorant people who make foolish accusations against you.

For it is God’s will that you silence the ignorance of foolish people by doing good.

For it is better to suffer for doing good, if that should be God’s will, than for doing evil.

not by the way of eye-service, as people-pleasers, but as bondservants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart,rendering service with a good will as to the Lord and not to man,

“ For my people are foolish; they know me not; they are stupid children; they have no understanding. They are‘ wise’— in doing evil! But how to do good they know not.”

The upright see it and are glad, and all wickedness shuts its mouth.
