緣知爾見贖、脫祖父所傳之妄行、非以金銀可壞之物、

知道你们得赎，脱去你们祖宗所传流虚妄的行为，不是凭着能坏的金银等物，

你们知道，你们得以从你们祖先传下来虚妄的行为中救赎出来，不是靠着会朽坏的金银等物，

你们知道，你们得以从你们祖先传下来虚妄的行为中救赎出来，不是靠着会朽坏的金银等物，

要知道，你们从传统的、没有意义的生活中被救赎出来，不是靠金银等会朽坏的东西，

因为知道你们得赎，脱去你们祖先传下的妄行，不是凭着能坏的金银等物，

因为你们知道，你们被救赎，脱离祖先所传下来的虚妄行为，不是凭着会朽坏的东西，如银子或金子，

知道你們得贖，脫去你們祖宗所傳流虛妄的行為，不是憑着能壞的金銀等物，

你們知道，你們得以從你們祖先傳下來虛妄的行為中救贖出來，不是靠着會朽壞的金銀等物，

你們知道，你們得以從你們祖先傳下來虛妄的行為中救贖出來，不是靠着會朽壞的金銀等物，

要知道，你們從傳統的、沒有意義的生活中被救贖出來，不是靠金銀等會朽壞的東西，

因為知道你們得贖，脫去你們祖先傳下的妄行，不是憑著能壞的金銀等物，

因為知道你們得贖放、脫離你們祖傳徒勞無效的生活、不是用能朽壞的東西、銀子或金子，

因為你們知道，你們被救贖，脫離祖先所傳下來的虛妄行為，不是憑著會朽壞的東西，如銀子或金子，

爾蹈祖愆得見贖者、知不以剝蝕之金銀、

蓋爾之妄行、由爾祖所傳者、爾得贖以脫之、知非以金銀可壞之物、

應知爾等之得脫於習俗之羈絆其贖價非屬可朽之金銀、

For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors,

You were set free from an empty way of life. This way of life was handed down to you by your own people of long ago. You know that you were not bought with things that can pass away, like silver or gold.

knowing that you were ransomed from the futile ways inherited from your forefathers, not with perishable things such as silver or gold,

For you know that God paid a ransom to save you from the empty life you inherited from your ancestors. And it was not paid with mere gold or silver, which lose their value.

For you know that you were redeemed from your empty way of life inherited from your ancestors, not with perishable things like silver or gold,

knowing that you were not redeemed with perishable things like silver or gold from your futile way of life inherited from your forefathers,

knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers,

knowing that ye were redeemed, not with corruptible things, with silver or gold, from your vain manner of life handed down from your fathers;

For you know that you were redeemed from your empty way of life inherited from the fathers, not with perishable things like silver or gold,

Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things,[ as] silver and gold, from your vain conversation[ received] by tradition from your fathers;

You know that from your empty way of life inherited from your ancestors you were ransomed– not by perishable things like silver or gold,

knowing that you were redeemed, not with corruptible things, with silver or gold, from the useless way of life handed down from your fathers,

蓋爾以值見購、故當以身榮上帝焉、

彼為我儕捐己、贖我出諸不法、且潔其民以為己業、乃熱衷於善行者也、

爾以值見購、勿為人奴、

故我言之、且緣主勸之、爾之所行、毋復志意虛妄、如異邦人然、

耶穌為我罪捐己、拯我脫此惡世、依我父上帝旨也、

莫能贖其昆弟、為付贖金於上帝、俾其永存不朽、蓋其生命、贖價甚重、永久無成兮、

顧彼既知上帝、而不以上帝榮之、亦不謝之、乃思議虛妄、心蠢而昧、

勿惟暴虐是恃、勿因刦奪而驕、貨財增益、勿繫念兮、

使爾信之驗、寶於火煉可壞之金、於耶穌基督之顯著、得厥讚美、與尊與榮、

又曰、主知智者之意念皆虛、

爾往時從異邦人之欲、而行邪侈、縱恣、沉湎、荒宴、盤樂、及違理拜像之事亦足矣、

是時必告斯民、與耶路撒冷曰、炎熇之風、來自曠野之荒邱、向我民女而吹、非為簸之、非為潔之、

我在曠野、諭其子女曰、勿循爾父之典章、勿從其律例、勿以其偶像自染污衊、

耶和華曰、猶大干罪、至三至四、我不挽回厥罰、以其棄耶和華之法律、不守其典章、厥祖所行之虛誕、使之迷惘、

毋效爾列祖、古先知呼之曰、萬軍之耶和華云、轉離爾之惡途惡行、惟彼不聽、不從我言、耶和華言之矣、爾列祖安在乎、眾先知永存乎、惟我所命我僕諸先知之言詞典章、豈非及於爾列祖乎、彼則悛改曰、萬軍之耶和華欲依我所行所為、而施行於我、已若是待我矣、○

惟徇己心之剛愎、從諸巴力、即其祖所教者、

耶和華歟、爾為我力、我之保障、我難中之避所、列邦必自地極而至、曰、我祖所承者、莫非妄誕虛偽無益之物、

我必成我口所言、焚香灌奠於天后、循我及我祖、我王、我牧伯、在猶大諸邑、及耶路撒冷街衢所為、蓋其時我儕足食晏安、不遘災禍、

世人行動乃虛幻、擾攘乃徒勞、積蓄貨財、不知誰取兮、

眾識其為猶太人、同聲呼曰、大哉、以弗所人之亞底米也、如此者、約一時、司書撫眾曰、以弗所人乎、孰不知我邑、乃守大亞底米殿、及自丟斯所降之像者乎、

何爾門徒犯古人遺傳、不盥手而食乎、曰爾何因爾遺傳、犯上帝誡乎、

爾曹強項、心與耳未受割者、恆逆聖神、爾祖所行、爾亦行之、先知中、不為爾祖窘逐者誰乎、且殺預言義者將至之人、此義者爾今賣而殺之矣、
