天主不偏視人、循人之所行而鞫之、爾既稱之為父、則寄生斯世、當無日不警懼、

夫爾等所呼為父者、乃大公無私、按各人行實而施黜陟者也。是宜戰戰兢兢以度羇旅塵世之日。

You call on a Father who judges each person’s work without favoring one over another. So live as outsiders during your time here. Live with the highest respect for God.

And if you call on him as Father who judges impartially according to each one’s deeds, conduct yourselves with fear throughout the time of your exile,

And remember that the heavenly Father to whom you pray has no favorites. He will judge or reward you according to what you do. So you must live in reverent fear of him during your time here as“ temporary residents.”

If you appeal to the Father who judges impartially according to each one’s work, you are to conduct yourselves in reverence during your time living as strangers.

If you address as Father the One who impartially judges according to each one’s work, conduct yourselves in fear during the time of your stay on earth;

And if you call on the Father, who without partiality judges according to each one’s work, conduct yourselves throughout the time of your stay here in fear;

And if ye call on him as Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to each man’s work, pass the time of your sojourning in fear:

And if you address as Father the One who judges impartially based on each one’s work, you are to conduct yourselves in fear during the time of your temporary residence.

And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man’s work, pass the time of your sojourning[ here] in fear:

And if you address as Father the one who impartially judges according to each one’s work, live out the time of your temporary residence here in reverence.

If you call on him as Father, who without respect of persons judges according to each man’s work, pass the time of your living as foreigners here in reverent fear,

Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed— not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence— continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling,

Now let the fear of the Lord be on you. Judge carefully, for with the Lord our God there is no injustice or partiality or bribery.”

Then Peter began to speak:“ I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritismbut accepts from every nation the one who fears him and does what is right.

Therefore, since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God.

Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe,

“ This, then, is how you should pray:“‘ Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name,

Dear friends, I urge you, as foreigners and exiles, to abstain from sinful desires, which wage war against your soul.

But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect,

Granted. But they were broken off because of unbelief, and you stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but tremble.

Therefore, since the promise of entering his rest still stands, let us be careful that none of you be found to have fallen short of it.

I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.

who shows no partiality to princes and does not favor the rich over the poor, for they are all the work of his hands?

Anyone who does wrong will be repaid for their wrongs, and there is no favoritism.

For this reason I kneel before the Father,

And Jacob said to Pharaoh,“ The years of my pilgrimage are a hundred and thirty. My years have been few and difficult, and they do not equal the years of the pilgrimage of my fathers.”

We are foreigners and strangers in your sight, as were all our ancestors. Our days on earth are like a shadow, without hope.

Therefore we are always confident and know that as long as we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord.

They sent their disciples to him along with the Herodians.“ Teacher,” they said,“ we know that you are a man of integrity and that you teach the way of God in accordance with the truth. You aren’t swayed by others, because you pay no attention to who they are.

For the Lord your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great God, mighty and awesome, who shows no partiality and accepts no bribes.

“ Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.“ Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone?Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake?If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!

“ I myself said,“‘ How gladly would I treat you like my children and give you a pleasant land, the most beautiful inheritance of any nation.’ I thought you would call me‘ Father’ and not turn away from following me.

but glory, honor and peace for everyone who does good: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile.For God does not show favoritism.

“ Then I will purify the lips of the peoples, that all of them may call on the name of the Lord and serve him shoulder to shoulder.

The wise fear the Lord and shun evil, but a fool is hotheaded and yet feels secure.

And masters, treat your slaves in the same way. Do not threaten them, since you know that he who is both their Master and yours is in heaven, and there is no favoritism with him.

“ Hear my prayer, Lord, listen to my cry for help; do not be deaf to my weeping. I dwell with you as a foreigner, a stranger, as all my ancestors were.

As for those who were held in high esteem— whatever they were makes no difference to me; God does not show favoritism— they added nothing to my message.

Blessed is the one who always trembles before God, but whoever hardens their heart falls into trouble.

All these people were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised; they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance, admitting that they were foreigners and strangers on earth.People who say such things show that they are looking for a country of their own.If they had been thinking of the country they had left, they would have had opportunity to return.Instead, they were longing for a better country— a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them.

See what this godly sorrow has produced in you: what earnestness, what eagerness to clear yourselves, what indignation, what alarm, what longing, what concern, what readiness to see justice done. At every point you have proved yourselves to be innocent in this matter.
