I, Peter, am writing this letter. I am an apostle of Jesus Christ. I am sending this letter to you, God’s chosen people. You are people who have had to wander in the world. You are scattered all over the areas of Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia and Bithynia.

This letter is from Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ. I am writing to God’s chosen people who are living as foreigners in the provinces of Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia.

Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the chosen ones who are living as foreigners in the Dispersion in Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,

James, a bond servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, To the twelve tribes who are dispersed abroad: Greetings.

Now there were Jews residing in Jerusalem, devout men from every nation under heaven.And when this sound occurred, the crowd came together and they were bewildered, because each one of them was hearing them speak in his own language.They were amazed and astonished, saying,“ Why, are not all these who are speaking Galileans?And how is it that we each hear them in our own language to which we were born?Parthians, Medes, and Elamites, and residents of Mesopotamia, Judea, and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia,Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya around Cyrene, and visitors from Rome, both Jews and proselytes,Cretans and Arabs— we hear them speaking in our own tongues of the mighty deeds of God.”

All these died in faith, without receiving the promises, but having seen and welcomed them from a distance, and having confessed that they were strangers and exiles on the earth.

So then you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and are of God’s household,

and not for the nation only, but in order that He might also gather together into one the children of God who are scattered abroad.

Furthermore, the Lord will scatter you among all the peoples, from one end of the earth to the other; and there you will serve other gods, made of wood and stone, which you and your fathers have not known.

Beloved, I urge you as foreigners and strangers to abstain from fleshly lusts, which wage war against the soul.

They passed through the Phrygian and Galatian region, after being forbidden by the Holy Spirit to speak the word in Asia;and after they came to Mysia, they were trying to go into Bithynia, and the Spirit of Jesus did not allow them;

remember that you were at that time separate from Christ, excluded from the people of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of the promise, having no hope and without God in the world.

Now when they had finished breakfast, Jesus* said to Simon Peter,“ Simon, son of John, do you love Me more than these?” He* said to Him,“ Yes, Lord; You know that I love You.” He* said to him,“ Tend My lambs.”He* said to him again, a second time,“ Simon, son of John, do you love Me?” He* said to Him,“ Yes, Lord; You know that I love You.” He* said to him,“ Shepherd My sheep.”He* said to him the third time,“ Simon, son of John, do you love Me?” Peter was hurt because He said to him the third time,“ Do you love Me?” And he said to Him,“ Lord, You know all things; You know that I love You.” Jesus* said to him,“ Tend My sheep.

You turn us over to be eaten like sheep, And have scattered us among the nations.

Then Haman said to King Ahasuerus,“ There is a certain people scattered and dispersed among the peoples in all the provinces of your kingdom; their laws are different from those of all other people and they do not comply with the king’s laws, so it is not in the king’s interest to let them remain.

And if those days had not been cut short, no life would have been saved; but for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short.

For we do not want you to be unaware, brothers and sisters, of our affliction which occurred in Asia, that we were burdened excessively, beyond our strength, so that we despaired even of life.

The Lord will scatter you among the peoples, and you will be left few in number among the nations where the Lord drives you.

“ However, I will leave a remnant, in that you will have those who escaped the sword among the nations when you are scattered among the countries.

And he found a Jew named Aquila, a native of Pontus having recently come from Italy with his wife Priscilla, because Claudius had commanded all the Jews to leave Rome. He came to them,

The churches of Asia greet you. Aquila and Prisca greet you heartily in the Lord, with the church that is in their house.

Therefore, those who had been scattered went through places preaching the word.

The Jews then said to one another,“ Where does this man intend to go that we will not find Him? He does not intend to go to the Dispersion among the Greeks, and teach the Greeks, does He?

This took place for two years, so that all who lived in Asia heard the word of the Lord, both Jews and Greeks.

But some men from what was called the Synagogue of the Freedmen, including both Cyrenians and Alexandrians, and some from Cilicia and Asia, rose up and argued with Stephen.

And after spending some time there, he left and passed successively through the Galatian region and Phrygia, strengthening all the disciples.

and all the brothers who are with me, To the churches of Galatia:

Simon Peter, a bond servant and apostle of Jesus Christ, To those who have received a faith of the same kind as ours, by the righteousness of our God and Savior, Jesus Christ:

You are aware of the fact that all who are in Asia turned away from me, among whom are Phygelus and Hermogenes.

saying,“ Write on a scroll what you see, and send it to the seven churches: to Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, and Laodicea.”

Now as Jesus was walking by the Sea of Galilee, He saw two brothers, Simon, who was called Peter, and his brother Andrew, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen.

He first* found his own brother Simon and* said to him,“ We have found the Messiah”( which translated means Christ).He brought him to Jesus. Jesus looked at him and said,“ You are Simon the son of John; you shall be called Cephas”( which is translated Peter).

For Paul had decided to sail past Ephesus so that he would not have to lose time in Asia; for he was hurrying, if it might be possible for him to be in Jerusalem the day of Pentecost.From Miletus he sent word to Ephesus and called to himself the elders of the church.And when they came to him, he said to them,“ You yourselves know, from the first day that I set foot in Asia, how I was with you the whole time,

Now the names of the twelve apostles are these: The first, Simon, who is called Peter, and his brother Andrew; and James the son of Zebedee, and his brother John;

You, however, I will scatter among the nations, and I will draw out a sword after you, as your land becomes desolate and your cities become ruins.

I would have said,“ I will wipe them out, I will remove the mention of their name from humanity,”
