I, Peter, am writing this letter. I am an apostle of Jesus Christ. I am sending this letter to you, God’s chosen people. You are people who have had to wander in the world. You are scattered all over the areas of Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia and Bithynia.

This letter is from Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ. I am writing to God’s chosen people who are living as foreigners in the provinces of Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia.

Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the chosen ones who are living as foreigners in the Dispersion in Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,

James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, To the twelve tribes in the Dispersion: Greetings.

Now there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men from every nation under heaven.And at this sound the multitude came together, and they were bewildered, because each one was hearing them speak in his own language.And they were amazed and astonished, saying,“ Are not all these who are speaking Galileans?And how is it that we hear, each of us in his own native language?Parthians and Medes and Elamites and residents of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia,Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya belonging to Cyrene, and visitors from Rome,both Jews and proselytes, Cretans and Arabians— we hear them telling in our own tongues the mighty works of God.”

These all died in faith, not having received the things promised, but having seen them and greeted them from afar, and having acknowledged that they were strangers and exiles on the earth.

So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God,

and not for the nation only, but also to gather into one the children of God who are scattered abroad.

“ And the Lord will scatter you among all peoples, from one end of the earth to the other, and there you shall serve other gods of wood and stone, which neither you nor your fathers have known.

Beloved, I urge you as sojourners and exiles to abstain from the passions of the flesh, which wage war against your soul.

And they went through the region of Phrygia and Galatia, having been forbidden by the Holy Spirit to speak the word in Asia.And when they had come up to Mysia, they attempted to go into Bithynia, but the Spirit of Jesus did not allow them.

remember that you were at that time separated from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.

When they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter,“ Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?” He said to him,“ Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.” He said to him,“ Feed my lambs.”He said to him a second time,“ Simon, son of John, do you love me?” He said to him,“ Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.” He said to him,“ Tend my sheep.”He said to him the third time,“ Simon, son of John, do you love me?” Peter was grieved because he said to him the third time,“ Do you love me?” and he said to him,“ Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you.” Jesus said to him,“ Feed my sheep.

You have made us like sheep for slaughter and have scattered us among the nations.

Then Haman said to King Ahasuerus,“ There is a certain people scattered abroad and dispersed among the peoples in all the provinces of your kingdom. Their laws are different from those of every other people, and they do not keep the king’s laws, so that it is not to the king’s profit to tolerate them.

And if those days had not been cut short, no human being would be saved. But for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short.

For we do not want you to be unaware, brothers, of the affliction we experienced in Asia. For we were so utterly burdened beyond our strength that we despaired of life itself.

And the Lord will scatter you among the peoples, and you will be left few in number among the nations where the Lord will drive you.

“ Yet I will leave some of you alive. When you have among the nations some who escape the sword, and when you are scattered through the countries,

And he found a Jew named Aquila, a native of Pontus, recently come from Italy with his wife Priscilla, because Claudius had commanded all the Jews to leave Rome. And he went to see them,

The churches of Asia send you greetings. Aquila and Prisca, together with the church in their house, send you hearty greetings in the Lord.

Now those who were scattered went about preaching the word.

The Jews said to one another,“ Where does this man intend to go that we will not find him? Does he intend to go to the Dispersion among the Greeks and teach the Greeks?

This continued for two years, so that all the residents of Asia heard the word of the Lord, both Jews and Greeks.

Then some of those who belonged to the synagogue of the Freedmen( as it was called), and of the Cyrenians, and of the Alexandrians, and of those from Cilicia and Asia, rose up and disputed with Stephen.

After spending some time there, he departed and went from one place to the next through the region of Galatia and Phrygia, strengthening all the disciples.

and all the brothers who are with me, To the churches of Galatia:

You are aware that all who are in Asia turned away from me, among whom are Phygelus and Hermogenes.

saying,“ Write what you see in a book and send it to the seven churches, to Ephesus and to Smyrna and to Pergamum and to Thyatira and to Sardis and to Philadelphia and to Laodicea.”

While walking by the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon( who is called Peter) and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen.

He first found his own brother Simon and said to him,“ We have found the Messiah”( which means Christ).He brought him to Jesus. Jesus looked at him and said,“ You are Simon the son of John. You shall be called Cephas”( which means Peter).

For Paul had decided to sail past Ephesus, so that he might not have to spend time in Asia, for he was hastening to be at Jerusalem, if possible, on the day of Pentecost.Now from Miletus he sent to Ephesus and called the elders of the church to come to him.And when they came to him, he said to them:“ You yourselves know how I lived among you the whole time from the first day that I set foot in Asia,

The names of the twelve apostles are these: first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother;

And I will scatter you among the nations, and I will unsheathe the sword after you, and your land shall be a desolation, and your cities shall be a waste.

I would have said,“ I will cut them to pieces; I will wipe them from human memory,”
