And the LORD sold them into the hand of Jabin king of Canaan, that reigned in Hazor; the captain of whose host[ was] Sisera, which dwelt in Harosheth of the Gentiles.

And his servants arose, and made a conspiracy, and slew Joash in the house of Millo, which goeth down to Silla.

But if not, let fire come out from Abimelech, and devour the men of Shechem, and the house of Millo; and let fire come out from the men of Shechem, and from the house of Millo, and devour Abimelech.

And all the men of Shechem gathered together, and all the house of Millo, and went, and made Abimelech king, by the plain of the pillar that[ was] in Shechem.

And this[ was] the cause that he lifted up[ his] hand against the king: Solomon built Millo,[ and] repaired the breaches of the city of David his father.

The kings came[ and] fought, then fought the kings of Canaan in Taanach by the waters of Megiddo; they took no gain of money.

Then Horam king of Gezer came up to help Lachish; and Joshua smote him and his people, until he had left him none remaining.

In that day shall there be a great mourning in Jerusalem, as the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddon.

[ For] Pharaoh king of Egypt had gone up, and taken Gezer, and burnt it with fire, and slain the Canaanites that dwelt in the city, and given it[ for] a present unto his daughter, Solomon’s wife.And Solomon built Gezer, and Bethhoron the nether,

Baana the son of Ahilud;[ to him pertained] Taanach and Megiddo, and all Bethshean, which[ is] by Zartanah beneath Jezreel, from Bethshean to Abelmeholah,[ even] unto[ the place that is] beyond Jokneam:

And they gave unto them,[ of] the cities of refuge, Shechem in mount Ephraim with her suburbs;[ they gave] also Gezer with her suburbs,

And it came to pass after this, that there arose war at Gezer with the Philistines; at which time Sibbechai the Hushathite slew Sippai,[ that was] of the children of the giant: and they were subdued.

Do good in thy good pleasure unto Zion: build thou the walls of Jerusalem.

But when Ahaziah the king of Judah saw[ this], he fled by the way of the garden house. And Jehu followed after him, and said, Smite him also in the chariot.[ And they did so] at the going up to Gur, which[ is] by Ibleam. And he fled to Megiddo, and died there.

Their children that were left after them in the land, whom the children of Israel also were not able utterly to destroy, upon those did Solomon levy a tribute of bondservice unto this day.
