推罗王希兰曾照所罗门所要的资助他香柏木、松木和金子，所罗门王就把加利利地的二十座城给了希兰。

所罗门在位第四年西弗月，立了耶和华殿的根基。到十一年布勒月，就是八月，殿和一切属殿的都按着样式造成。他建殿共用了七年。所罗门为自己建造宫殿，十三年方才建成整座宫殿。

凡我眼所求的，我没有克制它；我心所乐的，我没有不享受。因我的心要为一切的劳碌快乐，这是我从一切劳碌中所得的报偿。

眼睛所看的比心里妄想的倒好。这也是虚空，也是捕风。

所罗门王做完了耶和华殿一切的工，就把他父亲大卫分别为圣的金银和器皿都带来，放在耶和华殿的库房里。
