推羅王希蘭曾照所羅門所要的資助他香柏木、松木和金子，所羅門王就把加利利地的二十座城給了希蘭。

我大興土木，為自己建造房屋，栽葡萄園，

所羅門在位第四年西弗月，立了耶和華殿的根基。到十一年布勒月，就是八月，殿和一切屬殿的都按着樣式造成。他建殿共用了七年。所羅門為自己建造宮殿，十三年方才建成整座宮殿。

凡我眼所求的，我沒有克制它；我心所樂的，我沒有不享受。因我的心要為一切的勞碌快樂，這是我從一切勞碌中所得的報償。

眼睛所看的比心裏妄想的倒好。這也是虛空，也是捕風。

所羅門王做完了耶和華殿一切的工，就把他父親大衛分別為聖的金銀和器皿都帶來，放在耶和華殿的庫房裏。
