聖所中充滿了上帝的榮耀和權能而來的煙。沒有人能進入聖所，直等到那七位天使降完了七種災難。

然後，他拿起約書來，念給百姓聽。他們說：「耶和華所吩咐的一切，我們都必遵行，也必聽從。」摩西把血灑在百姓身上，說：「看哪！這是立約的血，是耶和華按照這一切的命令和你們立約的憑據。」

耶和華吩咐摩西說：「把亞倫的杖放回法櫃前，給這些背叛之子留作記號。你就可以平息他們向我所發的怨言，他們也不會死亡。」

摩西對亞倫說：「你拿一個罐子，裝滿一俄梅珥的嗎哪，存在耶和華面前，留給你們的後代。」

那時，雲彩遮蓋會幕，耶和華的榮光充滿了帳幕。摩西不能進會幕，因為雲彩停在其上，耶和華的榮光充滿了帳幕。

「把這律法書拿來，放在耶和華－你們上帝的約櫃旁，可以在那裏作指責你們的見證。

我也在那裏為約櫃預備一處。約櫃那裏有耶和華的約，就是他領我們列祖出埃及地的時候，與他們所立的約。」

吹號的、歌唱的都合一齊聲，讚美稱謝耶和華。他們配合號筒、鐃鈸和其他樂器，揚聲讚美耶和華：「耶和華本為善，他的慈愛永遠長存！」那時，耶和華的殿充滿了雲彩。祭司因雲彩的緣故不能站立供職，因為耶和華的榮光充滿了上帝的殿。

亞倫正對以色列全會眾說話的時候，他們轉向曠野，看哪，耶和華的榮光在雲中顯現。

破曉時分，耶和華從雲柱、火柱中瞭望埃及的軍兵，使埃及的軍兵混亂。

耶和華的榮耀從基路伯那裏上升，到殿的入口處；殿內滿佈雲彩，院子也充滿了耶和華榮耀的光輝。

耶和華的榮耀駐在西奈山，雲彩遮蓋了山六天，第七天他從雲中呼叫摩西。耶和華的榮耀在山頂上，在以色列人眼前，形狀如吞噬的火。摩西進入雲中，登上了山。摩西在山上四十晝夜。

耶和華對摩西說：「你要吩咐你哥哥亞倫，不可隨時進入聖所的幔子內、到櫃蓋前，免得他死亡，因為我在櫃蓋上的雲中顯現。

耶和華走在他們前面，日間用雲柱引領他們的路，夜間用火柱照亮他們，使他們日夜都可以行走。

立起帳幕的那日，有雲彩遮蓋帳幕，就是法櫃的帳幕；從晚上到早晨，雲彩在帳幕上，形狀如火。
