On the fifteenth day he sent the people away. So they blessed the king and went to their homes rejoicing and with happy hearts for all the goodness that the LORD had done for his servant David and for his people Israel.

越至八日、王遣散民眾、民為王祝嘏、緣耶和華善待其僕大衛、及其民以色列、中心歡悅、各歸其幕、

厥後遣民旋歸、去時咸謝王恩、緣耶和華善待其僕大闢、及以色列族之民、故心歡意悅各歸故土。

第八日、即又七日之後一日王遣散眾民、民為王祝福、遂各歸其家、家原文作幕緣主善待其僕大衛及其民以色列、喜而心樂、

On the following day he sent the people away. They blessed the king and then went home, joyful and glad in heart for all the good things the Lord had done for his servant David and his people Israel.

On the following day Solomon sent the people away. They asked the Lord to bless the king. Then they went home. The people were glad. Their hearts were full of joy. That’s because the Lord had done so many good things for his servant David and his people Israel.

On the eighth day he sent the people away, and they blessed the king and went to their homes joyful and glad of heart for all the goodness that the Lord had shown to David his servant and to Israel his people.

After the festival was over, Solomon sent the people home. They blessed the king and went to their homes joyful and glad because the Lord had been good to his servant David and to his people Israel.

On the eighth day he dismissed the people, and they blessed the king. Then they went to their tents joyful and with happy hearts for all the goodness that the Lord had shown to David His servant, and to Israel His people.

On the fifteenth day after the festival started, he dismissed the people. They asked God to empower the king and then went to their homes, happy and content because of all the good the LORD had done for his servant David and his people Israel.

On the eighth day he sent the people away; and they blessed the king, and went to their tents joyful and glad in their hearts for all the goodness that Yahweh had shown to David his servant, and to Israel his people.

Pray for the well-being of Jerusalem:“ May those who love you be secure;

They will come and shout for joy on the heights of Zion; they will be radiant with joy because of the LORD’s goodness, because of the grain, the new wine, the fresh oil, and because of the young of the flocks and herds. Their life will be like an irrigated garden, and they will no longer grow weak from hunger.Then the young women will rejoice with dancing, while young and old men rejoice together. I will turn their mourning into joy, give them consolation, and bring happiness out of grief.I will refresh the priests with an abundance, and my people will be satisfied with my goodness. This is the LORD’s declaration.

Remember me, LORD, when you show favor to your people. Come to me with your salvationso that I may enjoy the prosperity of your chosen ones, rejoice in the joy of your nation, and boast about your heritage.

Then Hezekiah and all the people rejoiced over how God had prepared the people, for it had come about suddenly.

Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion! Shout in triumph, Daughter Jerusalem! Look, your King is coming to you; he is righteous and victorious, humble and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.

There was great rejoicing in Jerusalem, for nothing like this was known since the days of Solomon son of David, the king of Israel.Then the priests and the Levites stood to bless the people, and God heard them, and their prayer came into his holy dwelling place in heaven.When all this was completed, all Israel who had attended went out to the cities of Judah and broke up the sacred pillars, chopped down the Asherah poles, and tore down the high places and altars throughout Judah and Benjamin, as well as in Ephraim and Manasseh, to the last one. Then all the Israelites returned to their cities, each to his own possession.

Every day they devoted themselves to meeting together in the temple, and broke bread from house to house. They ate their food with joyful and sincere hearts,

Rejoice before the LORD your God in the place where he chooses to have his name dwell— you, your son and daughter, your male and female slave, the Levite within your city gates, as well as the resident alien, the fatherless, and the widow among you.

You are to eat them in the presence of the LORD your God at the place the LORD your God chooses— you, your son and daughter, your male and female slave, and the Levite who is within your city gates. Rejoice before the LORD your God in everything you do,

You will rejoice before the LORD your God— you, your sons and daughters, your male and female slaves, and the Levite who is within your city gates, since he has no portion or inheritance among you.

Their descendants will be known among the nations, and their posterity among the peoples. All who see them will recognize that they are a people the LORD has blessed.I rejoice greatly in the LORD, I exult in my God; for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation and wrapped me in a robe of righteousness, as a groom wears a turban and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.

Then he said to them,“ Go and eat what is rich, drink what is sweet, and send portions to those who have nothing prepared, since today is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, because the joy of the LORD is your strength.”

Let the whole earth shout triumphantly to the LORD!Serve the LORD with gladness; come before him with joyful songs.

You will eat there in the presence of the LORD your God and rejoice with your household in everything you do, because the LORD your God has blessed you.

Come, let’s shout joyfully to the LORD, shout triumphantly to the rock of our salvation!Let’s enter his presence with thanksgiving; let’s shout triumphantly to him in song.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!

On the twenty-third day of the seventh month he sent the people home, rejoicing and with happy hearts for the goodness the LORD had done for David, for Solomon, and for his people Israel.

How lovely and beautiful! Grain will make the young men flourish, and new wine, the young women.

Sing for joy, Daughter Zion; shout loudly, Israel! Be glad and celebrate with all your heart, Daughter Jerusalem!

and when they come to their senses in the land where they were deported and repent and petition you in their captors’ land:“ We have sinned and done wrong; we have been wicked,”

Because of the house of the LORD our God, I will pursue your prosperity.

At that time Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, all the tribal heads and the ancestral leaders of the Israelites before him at Jerusalem in order to bring the ark of the LORD’s covenant from the city of David, that is Zion.

As a mother comforts her son, so I will comfort you, and you will be comforted in Jerusalem.You will see, you will rejoice, and you will flourish like grass; then the LORD’s power will be revealed to his servants, but he will show his wrath against his enemies.
