Solomon offered a sacrifice of fellowship offerings to the Lord: twenty-two thousand cattle and a hundred and twenty thousand sheep and goats. So the king and all the Israelites dedicated the temple of the Lord.

Solomon sacrificed friendship offerings to the Lord. He sacrificed 22,000 oxen. He also sacrificed 120,000 sheep and goats. So the king and the whole community set the temple of the Lord apart to him.

And they sacrificed unto Jehovah in that day, of the spoil which they had brought, seven hundred oxen and seven thousand sheep.

And at the dedication of the wall of Jerusalem they sought the Levites out of all their places, to bring them to Jerusalem, to keep the dedication with gladness, both with thanksgivings, and with singing, with cymbals, psalteries, and with harps.

And Josiah gave to the children of the people, of the flock, lambs and kids, all of them for the passover- offerings, unto all that were present, to the number of thirty thousand, and three thousand bullocks: these were of the king’s substance.And his princes gave for a freewill- offering unto the people, to the priests, and to the Levites. Hilkiah and Zechariah and Jehiel, the rulers of the house of God, gave unto the priests for the passover- offerings two thousand and six hundred small cattle, and three hundred oxen.Conaniah also, and Shemaiah and Nethanel, his brethren, and Hashabiah and Jeiel and Jozabad, the chiefs of the Levites, gave unto the Levites for the passover- offerings five thousand small cattle, and five hundred oxen.

And if his oblation be a sacrifice of peace- offerings; if he offer of the herd, whether male or female, he shall offer it without blemish before Jehovah.And he shall lay his hand upon the head of his oblation, and kill it at the door of the tent of meeting: and Aaron’s sons the priests shall sprinkle the blood upon the altar round about.And he shall offer of the sacrifice of peace- offerings an offering made by fire unto Jehovah; the fat that covereth the inwards, and all the fat that is upon the inwards,and the two kidneys, and the fat that is on them, which is by the loins, and the caul upon the liver, with the kidneys, shall he take away.And Aaron’s sons shall burn it on the altar upon the burnt- offering, which is upon the wood that is on the fire: it is an offering made by fire, of a sweet savor unto Jehovah.And if his oblation for a sacrifice of peace- offerings unto Jehovah be of the flock; male or female, he shall offer it without blemish.If he offer a lamb for his oblation, then shall he offer it before Jehovah;and he shall lay his hand upon the head of his oblation, and kill it before the tent of meeting: and Aaron’s sons shall sprinkle the blood thereof upon the altar round about.And he shall offer of the sacrifice of peace- offerings an offering made by fire unto Jehovah; the fat thereof, the fat tail entire, he shall take away hard by the backbone; and the fat that covereth the inwards, and all the fat that is upon the inwards,and the two kidneys, and the fat that is upon them, which is by the loins, and the caul upon the liver, with the kidneys, shall he take away.And the priest shall burn it upon the altar: it is the food of the offering made by fire unto Jehovah.And if his oblation be a goat, then he shall offer it before Jehovah:and he shall lay his hand upon the head of it, and kill it before the tent of meeting; and the sons of Aaron shall sprinkle the blood thereof upon the altar round about.And he shall offer thereof his oblation, even an offering made by fire unto Jehovah; the fat that covereth the inwards, and all the fat that is upon the inwards,and the two kidneys, and the fat that is upon them, which is by the loins, and the caul upon the liver, with the kidneys, shall he take away.And the priest shall burn them upon the altar: it is the food of the offering made by fire, for a sweet savor; all the fat is Jehovah’s.It shall be a perpetual statute throughout your generations in all your dwellings, that ye shall eat neither fat nor blood.

And king Solomon offered a sacrifice of twenty and two thousand oxen, and a hundred and twenty thousand sheep. So the king and all the people dedicated the house of God.

For Hezekiah king of Judah did give to the assembly for offerings a thousand bullocks and seven thousand sheep; and the princes gave to the assembly a thousand bullocks and ten thousand sheep: and a great number of priests sanctified themselves.

And it shall be the prince’s part to give the burnt- offerings, and the meal- offerings, and the drink- offerings, in the feasts, and on the new moons, and on the sabbaths, in all the appointed feasts of the house of Israel: he shall prepare the sin- offering, and the meal- offering, and the burnt- offering, and the peace- offerings, to make atonement for the house of Israel.

And the number of the burnt- offerings which the assembly brought was threescore and ten bullocks, a hundred rams, and two hundred lambs: all these were for a burnt- offering to Jehovah.And the consecrated things were six hundred oxen and three thousand sheep.But the priests were too few, so that they could not flay all the burnt- offerings: wherefore their brethren the Levites did help them, till the work was ended, and until the priests had sanctified themselves; for the Levites were more upright in heart to sanctify themselves than the priests.And also the burnt- offerings were in abundance, with the fat of the peace- offerings, and with the drink- offerings for every burnt- offering. So the service of the house of Jehovah was set in order.

Behold, I am about to build a house for the name of Jehovah my God, to dedicate it to him, and to burn before him incense of sweet spices, and for the continual showbread, and for the burnt- offerings morning and evening, on the sabbaths, and on the new moons, and on the set feasts of Jehovah our God. This is an ordinance for ever to Israel.

And it was the feast of the dedication at Jerusalem:

And they sacrificed sacrifices unto Jehovah, and offered burnt- offerings unto Jehovah, on the morrow after that day, even a thousand bullocks, a thousand rams, and a thousand lambs, with their drink- offerings, and sacrifices in abundance for all Israel,

And the princes offered for the dedication of the altar in the day that it was anointed, even the princes offered their oblation before the altar.And Jehovah said unto Moses, They shall offer their oblation, each prince on his day, for the dedication of the altar.

This was the dedication of the altar, in the day when it was anointed, by the princes of Israel: twelve silver platters, twelve silver bowls, twelve golden spoons;each silver platter weighing a hundred and thirty shekels, and each bowl seventy; all the silver of the vessels two thousand and four hundred shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary;the twelve golden spoons, full of incense, weighing ten shekels apiece, after the shekel of the sanctuary; all the gold of the spoons a hundred and twenty shekels;all the oxen for the burnt- offering twelve bullocks, the rams twelve, the he- lambs a year old twelve, and their meal- offering; and the males of the goats for a sin- offering twelve;and all the oxen for the sacrifice of peace- offerings twenty and four bullocks, the rams sixty, the he- goats sixty, the he- lambs a year old sixty. This was the dedication of the altar, after that it was anointed.

will Jehovah be pleased with thousands of rams, or with ten thousands of rivers of oil? shall I give my first- born for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?
