耶和華兮、人為爾加以譴責、訓以律法者、必蒙福祉兮、

以利亞與我儕有同情、昔求不雨、果旱、歷三載有半、厥後求雨、而天降甘霖、草木甲坼、

眾民曰、雅各之上帝、即耶和華是、莫若登其山、入其殿、受其訓迪、遵從其道、蓋律例自郇城而出、耶和華之命自耶路撒冷而敷布、

耶和華兮、以爾禮儀、指示於我、至終守之兮、

亭午、以利亞戲之曰、可大聲而呼、彼乃上帝、或默想、或燕居、或遠行、或假寐、爾必使其儆醒。遂大聲呼籲、以刃以匕自割其肉、迨及血流、循其常例。至午後、近獻祭之時、彼偽為憑神而言、實無聲響、亦無應對而垂顧之者。以利亞告民曰、當來就我、民咸就焉。耶和華之祭壇已毀、以利亞重為修葺。昔耶和華以名賜雅各、稱為以色列、其子分為十二支派、以利亞取石、循其支派之數、以築祭壇、奉事耶和華、壇之四周作溝環繞、可容穀六斗。列柴剖犢、置於柴上、告民曰、以水四甕、傾於祭犢及柴。又曰、如是者二、則行之二次。如是者三、則行之三次。水流於壇之四周、以充其溝。當獻祭之時、先知以利亞前、曰、耶和華歟、亞伯拉罕、以撒、以色列之上帝、今日使民咸知、爾在以色列族中為上帝、亦知我屬爾僕、凡有所為、悉遵爾命。耶和華尚其聽我哉、使斯民皆知、爾乃耶和華上帝、使其心翻然以改。耶和華遂降火、燬其燔祭、以及其柴、其石、其土、溝中之水亦涸。民眾見此、則俯伏曰、耶和華誠上帝矣、耶和華誠上帝矣。以利亞告眾曰、從巴力偽為先知者、爾當執之、毋遺一人。遂執之、以利亞攜至基順溪、悉殺戮焉。

寅畏耶和華兮、必蒙訓迪、遵當由之道兮、

我之敵兮、實繁有徒、望耶和華示我以大義兮、導我以坦途、

余求耶和華以爾道訓迪余、使我躬行、收吾放心、俾余寅畏兮、

敬虔之士、我將教爾、導爾於當由之途、我將顧爾、訓迪爾衷、

耶和華無不善、無不義兮、導彼惡人、歸於正道兮、

必有大道、稱為聖途、不潔者弗能由之焉、惟誠慤之人、蒙上帝訓導、遵循不誤、

予瞻仰爾、惟爾是望、爾速施恩。示我以當行之途兮、

遂遣其徒、同希律黨、就之云、先生、我知爾乃真者、以誠傳上帝道、不偏視人、不以貌取人者也、

示我當行之途、當為之事。

如人獲罪於爾、使天閉塞、雨澤不降、至殿祈禱、呼籲爾名、緣遘患難、去厥罪愆、則爾在天、俯聞其聲、赦宥爾僕、即以色列族之民、指示以善、所錫之地降以膏澤。
