“ When anyone wrongs their neighbor and is required to take an oath and they come and swear the oath before your altar in this temple,

“如果有人得罪他的鄰居被迫起誓，他來到這殿在你的祭壇前起誓的時候，

『人若得罪他的鄰舍，有人叫他用一種咒語來起誓，他來到這殿，在你的祭壇前起誓；

人若獲罪於鄰、令其發誓、則至此室、在爾壇前發誓、

如人與同儕有所干犯、使至此殿、發誓於壇前、

人若獲罪於人、乃使其發誓、以徵其言、遂至此殿主之祭臺前發誓、

“ Suppose someone does something wrong to their neighbor. And the person who has done something wrong is required to give their word. They must tell the truth about what they have done. They must come and do it in front of your altar in this temple.

“ If a man sins against his neighbor and is made to take an oath and comes and swears his oath before your altar in this house,

“ If someone wrongs another person and is required to take an oath of innocence in front of your altar in this Temple,

When a man sins against his neighbor and is forced to take an oath, and he comes to take an oath before your altar in this temple,

“ If a person sins against his neighbor and is compelled to take an oath of innocence, and he comes and takes an oath before Your altar in this house,

“ When anyone sins against his neighbor, and is forced to take an oath, and comes and takes an oath before Your altar in this temple,

If a man sin against his neighbor, and an oath be laid upon him to cause him to swear, and he come and swear before thine altar in this house;

When a man sins against his neighbor and is forced to take an oath, and he comes to take an oath before Your altar in this temple,

If any man trespass against his neighbour, and an oath be laid upon him to cause him to swear, and the oath come before thine altar in this house:

“ When someone is accused of sinning against his neighbor and the latter pronounces a curse on the alleged offender before your altar in this temple, be willing to forgive the accused if the accusation is false.

“ If a man sins against his neighbor, and an oath is laid on him to cause him to swear, and he comes and swears before your altar in this house;

But if the thief is not found, the owner of the house must appear before the judges, and they must determine whether the owner of the house has laid hands on the other person’s property.In all cases of illegal possession of an ox, a donkey, a sheep, a garment, or any other lost property about which somebody says,‘ This is mine,’ both parties are to bring their cases before the judges. The one whom the judges declare guilty must pay back double to the other.“ If anyone gives a donkey, an ox, a sheep or any other animal to their neighbor for safekeeping and it dies or is injured or is taken away while no one is looking,the issue between them will be settled by the taking of an oath before the Lord that the neighbor did not lay hands on the other person’s property. The owner is to accept this, and no restitution is required.

Otherwise, I may have too much and disown you and say,‘ Who is the Lord?’ Or I may become poor and steal, and so dishonor the name of my God.

“‘ The priest shall bring her and have her stand before the Lord.Then he shall take some holy water in a clay jar and put some dust from the tabernacle floor into the water.After the priest has had the woman stand before the Lord, he shall loosen her hair and place in her hands the reminder- offering, the grain offering for jealousy, while he himself holds the bitter water that brings a curse.Then the priest shall put the woman under oath and say to her,“ If no other man has had sexual relations with you and you have not gone astray and become impure while married to your husband, may this bitter water that brings a curse not harm you.But if you have gone astray while married to your husband and you have made yourself impure by having sexual relations with a man other than your husband”—here the priest is to put the woman under this curse—“ may the Lord cause you to become a curse among your people when he makes your womb miscarry and your abdomen swell.May this water that brings a curse enter your body so that your abdomen swells or your womb miscarries.”“‘ Then the woman is to say,“ Amen. So be it.”

“‘ If anyone sins because they do not speak up when they hear a public charge to testify regarding something they have seen or learned about, they will be held responsible.

“ When anyone wrongs their neighbor and is required to take an oath and they come and swear the oath before your altar in this temple,then hear from heaven and act. Judge between your servants, condemning the guilty and bringing down on their heads what they have done, and vindicating the innocent by treating them in accordance with their innocence.
